danielbb90
Sweet! I never know you could get skins like that! --------------------------------------------------The framework is similar to winamp skins!<skin> <background src="base.bmp" transparent="1" /> <slider id="volume" x="22" y="14" thumb="sliderv.bmp" channel="chv.bmp" /> <slider id="position" x="19" y="67" thumb="sliderp.bmp" channel="chp.bmp" /> <button id="close" x="99" y="14" src="close.bmp" /> <button id="fullmode" x="79" y="14" src="full.bmp" /> <button id="minimize" x="89" y="14" src="min.bmp" /> <button id="playpause" x="48" y="207" src="play.bmp" /> <button id="previous" x="13" y="170" src="prv.bmp" /> <button id="next" x="83" y="170" src="next.bmp" /> <button id="menu" x="48" y="133" src="menu.bmp" /> <button id="voldown" x="14" y="14" src="voldown.bmp" /> <button id="volup" x="69" y="14" src="volup.bmp" /> <static font="MS UI Gothic" size="8" forecolor="333333"> <text id="albumname" x="19" y="26" width="82" /> <text id="trackname" x="19" y="39" width="82" /> <text id="artist" x="19" y="52" width="82" /> <text id="time" x="19" y="74" width="82" /> </static> </skin> You could make you'r own! dex Otaku
Hmm. There are some surprisingly nice skins there .. I'm really into minimalism most of the time; i.e. a mini-player should be the controls and the most basic play info, period. Those teeny ones that are about the same height as a title bar are really quite functional.Now if only SS had built-in EQ and support for any Dshow-supported audio format the user has codecs installed for. As it stands, I don't even use it for playing OMA files [i use Media Player Classic with its basic playlist]. I suppose when it comes down to it though, the -only- reason I won't consider using SS as a player isn't because my library is only 50% comprised of MP3s; it's because the acoustics of my living room/studio *REQUIRE* EQ for resonance correction. pauljones52
Agreed dex, I seem to recall sonicstage used to have a built in EQ but this was taken out for some reason. A lot of people have crappy computer speakers (myself included) so an EQ is an essential part of a media player.
mrsoul
Really like these skins. Does anybody have the skills to create some more? If so, keep the forum updated. Thanks for the tip! As for EQ, I have a decent 5.1 setup, so I get by with the subwoofer controller...
dex Otaku
I have a decent 5.1 setup, so I get by with the subwoofer controller...I have logitech z680s. The lack of any EQ whatsoever is painful. A subwoofer level control is NOT adequate to compensate for extreme resonances like the +14dB @ 105hz in my living room. With the sub control alone I can either choose to have actual bottom end with ~100Hz so loud that things rattle off shelves, or no bass whatsoever. PITA. Avrin
Good old OpenMG Jukebox 2.2 skins, still compatible with SonicStage 4.3: http://depositfiles.com/files/5kirevxv9 - the self-extracting archive should put them into the appropriate folder (on Windows 2000/XP). sfbp
So far all I did was to install and select one from the menu under options. However nothing happens. (Like in "Adventure")
Avrin
Press F12 to switch to the Simple Mode. Then press Ctrl+K to choose a skin.
sfbp
Ah... I didn't understand that these are skins for the mini-player only. Thanks.
