1kyle
Updated to Internet Explorer 7 (beta 20 Mar version). Updated Windows as well. Now SS hangs when you try and change the location of where you import filesI NEVER use the default location 'C' as I always like to separate DATA from the OS (Windows). That way if I have to restore / re-install Windows I don't have to recover my data again.Anyway SS 3.4 hangs.A re-install fixes it however (and you don't LOSE your library).Note that Microsoft DOES state that Internet Explorer 7 IS a beta so like all beta software it could have some bugs. I DO like the "Anti-phishing" feature however so it's worth a try if you are using Windows (which you proably are if you have SS).Cheers-K Edited April 1, 2006 by 1kyle

Richard
Not sure why you update to IE7(beta )..I will never take such risks ..Well it`s nice that you made us aware about this problem .. I also have IE7 beta installed and haven't had any problems yet with SS. I haven't tried changing the location of the imported files folder though, but thanks for the heads-up. Ishiyoshi
I also have IE7 beta installed and haven't had any problems yet with SS. Likewise. No problems at my end and I did change the default location of the imported files folder.

mrsoul
Yes, this is a little OT but...The IE 7 is already out in a non-Beta form, it's called Mozilla Firefox Really, what features does IE7 have that Firefox doesn't have? I looked at the tour of the features on the MS site this morning and was not at all thrilled with anything I noted. Tabbed browsing, RSS feeds... it's all been done before. Or did I miss something?I will update to IE 7 later for those sites that require IE but I'm in no rush...BTW, thanks for pointing me back to Thunderbird. Once I got it tweaked, it's been great. Thanks again.
danielbb90
I'm useing BonEcho...(The beta version of FireFox 2)It is faster that 7beta, same features and you can skin it! (Well you can with firefox 1) and I have only found 1 error up to now!I only use IE for automatic updates! And checking compatability of my websites in IE!EDIT :There is a "IE tabs" plugin for firefox that lets you view a tab in firefox in the ie browser!I don't need to use IE for automatic updates anymore!I can just stay in FireFox! Yay Edited April 2, 2006 by danielbb90
