furtho
Hi all,First-time poster and as I'm considering the possibility of buying an RH1 I do hope you'll be able to help me with something I'm not sure about.I tend to download a fair amount of legal-but-free mp3s, for example from unsigned or obscure bands's sites, myspace, netlabels, etc. Obviously, it would be good to be able to put that kind of content on to my RH1 - but it sems that there are some restrictions as to the types of mp3 that can be put on to the new system, which relate to the source of the mp3.My question is therefore, would it be possible to include the above types of mp3 on an RH1? Or should I look elsewhere? All advice very gratefully received.

Richard
You should be able to transfer (via Sonic Stage of course) any MP3 that is:MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 32/ 44.1 / 48khz Sample rate with bitrates of 32-320Kbps VBR / CBR.
furtho
Many thanks, both. I'm hazy about the technicalities of mp3 files, but this sounds like the type of thing that would be okay for me.Incidentally, although I live in the UK I'm currently in Japan and yesterday was in Akihabara (aka Electric Town). The standard price for an RH1 seems to be 39,800 yen, but it might dampen your gadget lust to know that it is completely impossible to find one anywhere in either the big or small electrical shops. Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, Yamada Denki, and Ishimaru Denki in any chou will have them.
