eveningsong
Hi Folks, wondering if anyone can help? I have an NH900 HiMD that somehow has lost a casing screw. Its the top, left side which helps to hold the 'carriage' inside. I have tried everywhere but no luck so far. I am in the UK.Thanks in anticipation
milomind
http://www.partstore.com/ModelDetail.aspx?...e=0&exact=1Look through this list of parts for your unit, they probably have it.
Richard
I think if you look at the NH900 service manual from the downloads section, the Sony part number you need is: 3-234-449-19. If partstore.com doesn't have it you should be able to quote the part number to Sony Support in the UK.
A440
Sony will charge outrageous amounts. Go to an optician or eyeglasses store and talk to their repair department. They have lots of tiny screws, one of which is likely to fit your NH900. You can also look at eyeglasses repair kits sold at chemists', etc.
raintheory
I've repaired 2 MZ-N707's (notorious for losing screws) with eyeglass repair kits. Great suggestion A440
bobt
ditto on the eyglass kit, also try an electronic repair shop, that should get you going. Another alternative buy a junker unit for parts, I have a 707 and NH1 that I can cannibalize,If you can't find anything PM me and I will send you a couple,Bob
eveningsong
Thanks you for all your suggestions. I also noticed that even faulty minidiscs are creaping up in price on ebay. I did actually look at my glasses and thought, Nah! they always come out too lol.

jonny mac
I eventually went into a Sony Centre last time I was home in the UK & they very helpfully provided me with (& fitted) a spare screw, no charge. However, they weren't able to provide me with any spares for the future.Smekma, I don't know where you are in Spain but there are Sony Centres here, in Madrid at least. You could try them. Below are a couple on online retailers in SPain, both specialising in Sony stuff. Maybe you could contact themto help you out?http://www.tiendasony.com/index.phphttp://www.sonygallery.com/
