hsl13
Hi, I wanted to buy a replacement battery for my Sony MZ-RH910. I currently have a NH-10WM and wanted another one but cant seem to find avalible for sale, so I am trying to purchase a NH-14WM. I have read on this forum about fake batterys on ebay so I am reluctant to buy from there, does any one know anywhere in the UK (or outside Uk that has resonable shipping costs) that sells these batterys. I did see this battery on Ebay, is it fake?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-GENUINE-SO...1QQcmdZViewItemThanks in advance.
Avrin
Just get this one: http://www.amazon.com/GP-Prismatic-Batteri...r/dp/B0002HSIEG - this is the best solution for the RH[9]10.

Have any other forum members used the GP Batterys suggested by Avrin? Have they been ok?
Avrin
As I've read somewhere in this forum, this GP product strongly outperforms genuine SONY NH-14WM's (when charged with the supplied charger, not in the unit). And there are no fakes for it that I know of, while fake NH-14WM's are abundant. For example, the ebay link you gave shows a definite fake. I know that becase the back side of the packaging states that it is "MADE IN JAPAN", while genuine NH-14WM's are manufactured in China. And the genuine one supplied with the RH10 is black (though there were genuine grey ones some time ago). And the plastic carrying case of the genuine one is quite a bit smaller and tighter. Another sign may only be discovered after unpacking - it says NH-14WM on the front side, but it says that it "requires a charger for a NH-10WM" on the back side (not visible when packed). The genuine battery says NW-14WM on both sides. This fake one will give you about 2-3 hours playback time, and will swell after a few charging cycles (hopefully not inside the unit). I bought them from the below website for £17.95 with free postage.http://www.cheaperbatteries.co.uk/index.as...p;productid=

Tom in RI
I see that the brand and model recommended by Avrin in 2007 seems to be unavailable. What is the current recommendation for gumstick batteries. I ordered one from ebay (hasn't arrived yet) but now I am afraid to use it for fear of damaging my player.Scratch that, I did find sellers, just not on Amazon.
