carlesraf Posted November 10, 2007 Report Share Posted November 10, 2007 I use and I will use the MD and Hi-MD even if sony disconinues it for this reasons:-Low Cost media-Very usefully-Easy to carry -Long battery life-God quality sound (for my atrac sound much betther than mp3)-Durability of the media (much better than CD, flash media or even HD portables)-Advanced editing function (merge/comvie/move and erase of the tracks)-No requieres PC (it can be managed directly on the unit itself)-Large library of my recopilation (I ripped all my CD to MD)-The ability to record on live inviroment , I don't wanna spend all my buged on an Ipod that only plays musicAnd...cause I'm a MD Fan!! Indeed you hit it right on the head, and in fewer words then yours truly.I am just listening to one of my super-compilations I made.... of the late great Janis Joplin (all tracks originally taken from The Essential Janis Joplin 2 CD set, in which I bought just to make this then later sold after making this compilation MD.).I could give a rat's a$$ what Sony and the RIAA think about it, especially since Sony now has their filthy hands in the pockets of the record companies, who are mainly responsible for the eventual demise (but not without stockpiling of home/pro/portable/car units, accessories, and media by tons of loyal MD/Hi-MD users/owners) of our beloved formats, ATRAC/3/3+ and MD/Hi-MD. Everybody CAN walk around with an Ipod......2. That's not my player ! That's only the remote. Would you help me, finding the rest of it ?? ( I prefer, using this argument only with opposite gender )3. I like to be an dinosaur4. No thanks, i've got my own beer coaster (Taking out an Minidisk out of my Player)5.
