Where to buy MZ-M200 / MZ-RH1?

I am in the market to purchase a RH1 or M200, but was wondering where best to purchase from.

I am in the UK, and notice that Hughes Direct can sell me an RH1 for £185 delivered. No doubt that will be the UK model with the volume limitations. Anyone know if these limitations can be lifted? Obviously I would prefer it without the limitations but it wouldn't bother me that much that I would spend a lot more to get the non-EU version.

Before I go ahead and buy, does anyone know of anywhere selling them at a better price than this?

That's the best price I've seen, and way below the price you'll pay in a Sony Centre (£250 when I last checked)

Yes the restrictions can be lifted, but when I did it I didn't notice any difference. There's a thread here about how to do it, but I'm in a bit of a rush and can't find it right now.

I hate to be a kill joy but I reckon the uncapped RH1 combined with Dynamic Normalization was what did my ears in.

Having said that, MDC is an ok outfit to deal with, though of course I am in-country so no experience of their handling of customs, exchange etc.

Many thanks to all who have replied so far. I am just chasing up a lead on a second hand one which may be for sale, but if that doesn't come substantially cheaper, then I'll be buying the Hughes Direct one. That is unless anyone here has one to sell??

I am also quite interested in obtaining a rm-mc40elk remote, but don't know where to find them nowadays.

In the UK you can buy them from here, but at an eye-watering £65.93. I got one far cheaper on ebay last year, but the display was scratched. The seller said they would all be like that and gave me a small refund. I'm looking to get another one but haven't seen any on ebay for a while, and don't really feel like spending £65 on a new one.

For the UK with the pound sterling crashing like a stone that's actually quite a good price for a NEW (not used / ebay / re-furbed) unit.

If you are in London there are still loads available in the electronics shops in Tottenham Court Road where you might be able to do some haggling.

Don't worry about the volume Cap on the RH1 The output is 4.5mw instead of 5.0 mw --you won't notice any difference especially if you use a decent set of "cans".

The M200 is difficult to find in the UK but it's only an RH1 with a microphone.

Cheers and good luck with your purchase.
