Xeys_00
However, I think they are a bit overpriced, being download only units . Thoughts?
Valder
130281001689 Is that the item number you were looking at?I saw them as well and was thinking about one. From the feedback it seems they are indeed newunits. I suppose for being new in the box $85 is not too bad.V
sallymae_hogsby
A decent deal, for someone who already has a large supply of Hi-MD discs recorded, and wants another "safety backup" for the future. Where do these batches of units come from? How long ago did they stop manufacturing them? Edited January 26, 2009 by sallymae_hogsby
theblueraja
I used to own one of these. There are actually a lot of PROs for getting this unit. I only parted with it to give it to a family member. Here's the pros:1) BLACK, shiny black (though plastic)2) LCD screen - CLEAR & EASY to read... SO much better than the more expensive NH900.3) Budget price for HiMD4) AA Battery. Never know when this could end up being your LAST working portable MD player in the future.5) Beats the pants off of the NH600D any day to me... the jog wheel feels sturdier than the NH600 and slightly easier to usePics of the one I used to own: Edited January 30, 2009 by theblueraja
tekdroid
jog wheel sure does look more comfortable than the tiny MZ-NH600 wheel, but I thought this LCD display one was common to all the first-gen units (MZ-NH600, MZ-NH900, MZ-NH700, etc). How is this LCD clearer than MZ-NH900?
theblueraja
The NH900 has almost an inner shadow cast inside... something perhaps about the distance between the actual LCD and the outer plastic "screen" that causes a dimming effect. Trust me, I've owned MANY NH900s, and the LCD on the 710 is a LOT clearer and easier to read. Edited January 30, 2009 by theblueraja

I never owned the MZ-NH900 (but have the MZ-NH700 and MZ-NH600 that seem to use the same LCD), so I was curious.
