Sony NW-A1000 6GB in Canada

I can't find this anywhere. eBay seems like the only choice, but it's really expensive. Anyone know where I can get a decent deal on this player in Canada?

Is this item discontinued? If I were to buy one now and I needed to use the warranty, will Sony honour it?

only 3 places, london drugs, future shop or best buy since they might have some still in stock. But i believe sony pulled hte plug on the a series 1000 and 3000 since they were not selling very well, not sure on the numbers.

I'd sell you mine but I still use it hehe. and ya ebay is expensive. tried craig's list?

I checked Futureshop and Best Buy already. They don't have them anymore. There's no London Drugs where I live. Too bad they are discontinuing them because these players look amazing. I'll try searching on craiglist, but I'm hoping to find a new one.

There're some left in the local sony store, but im not sure about ontario. I also suggest that u wait a bit and see wut's coming up from sony.

You can still get an A1200 which is 8GB, in the US pretty easy I think. They were like $200 US though, so kinda pricey perhaps?

As for the warranty, if you bought one today, new and from an authorised dealer in Canada then yes they would honour the warranty, otherwise no you get no warranty.

I just received an offer locally for a new Sony NW-A1000 6GB for $150 Canadian. Should I go ahead and buy it? Or just wait for the recently announced A800. Also, I suppose that I would be eligible for any sort of warranty from Sony, correct? Even though the item is brand new

well, since the new A800 series are coming out in March, i also suggest u to wait for a week or 2. If u dont like it, 150 bucks for A1000 is a pretty good deal.

Umm, I'd say wait a bit... Because NW-A800 series is not the only "news" in near future. In other words, there is more to wait for.
