  1. Hi Sony, for me no. That is, in most cases no. The disc is always the same, whether it is normal or professional. Perhaps the difference is in the plastic that holds the disc, limiting the wear phenomena. In my opinion, the only real professional are the Sony 2000, the TDK pro, maybe the Sony ES. Note that with the thousands of mds checked, the only ones that I have ever given "disc error" are the Axia. The selling price was higher than all the other mds, and plastic is better quality than the other manufacturers. I hope I was helpful. Good evening

  7. Very well, Jimma. The Ar shown are perfectly identical to those produced in 2002, Ar first series. I honestly don't understand why producing the first series rather than the second, aesthetically the most beautiful is the second. If the Victor decided to resume the production of mds, producing a "new" model after model in 2013, it is likely that sales have been very helpful friendly staff. It is also to say that Victor did not spent even a penny for the design. Greetings at all Sergio

  9. hi Zo I understand you, I am in your same conditions. I have started to collect blanks when collecting machines, came to me dozens of blanks of different models. I believe that ending the collection of blanks is almost impossible; many models are very rare and only sold in few countries; even the most common ones were presented in 60 and 74 minutes; many are variations on the same series. I am pleased to have completed the collection of all BitClub (or at least I hope); I also wrote to the TDK for information. The same TDK does not have any more info on blank; I checked it after my letter from the area of the TDK, they have connected 20 times to see the blank. The collection of blank and machines is like a puzzle; with lots of patience we can reconstruct the history of these objects. The fundamental problem and that from 2003 onwards, the informations are really poor. A nice day to all Sergio
  10. Hi P In 2004, probably in the first half of the year, Sony introduces the latest series of MDLP players, "30" with E630, E730, E830, and EH930 , this is probably the first Hi-Md player product; MZ-E730 HD have digital amplifier; on rear of EH930 no information about digital amplifier. But, if 7 series had it, 9 must have it. A nice day to all

  16. The two largest producers of machines mds players/recorders built using as power supply a classic AA battery. For a commercial choice the machines only powered with AA batteries are placed in the category of "entry level". Also HI MD devices; NH600, NH 700, NHF800 are AA battery powered. It is not difficult to be able to say which of these devices "entry level" is the best; surely Sony devices of the first series HI MD. ( see above ). To my experience, certainly not the N505 Sony. A nice day to all Sergio
  17. Nice, maybe too "commercial" I saw a couple of machines that could interest me. ... Have a nice day Sergio
