  1. Welcome, john. What operating system are you using?
  2. Doesn't the NHF800 and NH600 have the 6 band EQ as well? My friend with a NH600 had said that it has such, can anyone confirm?
  3. Wow, maybe the Gamecube isn't doing so well after all: http://articles.filefront.com/Sales_Data_I...;;/article.html
  4. Funny, that's exactly how my NH900 works on every single computer I've tried it on. Does anyone else think that's a bit over the top? Did Sony beat and rape you as a child? The angst is overwhelming. Apple is selling feces for gold; feces is simple. Sony products are not - I would say Sony are selling enemas. [Yes, I know this line will come to bite me in the ass] I really do disagree with the overall negative view towards Sony, it makes you seem like the rest of the sheep on the internet. I mean, are they really that bad? My NH900 works wonderfully, my Sony DVD burner works without any errors; has an updated firmware and hasn't made a coaster yet, and my Sony Ericsson T610.. Oh. Well, it..blegh. Touche'.
  5. Track #5 @ Backpedal '04 reminds me of of, say, about two days ago. But yeah, there is some great stuff here guys, I'm really inspired by your work Dex. I'll check more out later, perhaps post some impressions.. So expect me to rape your server when I'm at work with my 10mbps fiber connection. I dunno if we can host you on the new server, you'll probably fill 'er up in a day.
  6. That's such a killer list. We should split the questions into groups [pretty much already done] and then ration off such to a few members to fill out, compile such, proofread, and then finalize.
  7. This is only applicable to Hi-MD units.
  8. Sorry, there's nothing I can do to fix that issue. I will see if Invision can whip anything up..
  9. Ben, once you have a 40ELK, you can't leave it seperated from a MD unit - it just brings out the functionality of your device tenfold and has a "cool" factor that makes it hard to put down.
  10. Uhm, there's a million devices for this type of functionality; FM transmitters, headphone out to cassette tape adapter, possible analog in on your DIN unit, etc.
  11. Welcome.. We really don't have too many members who use this method anymore, but if all else fails, you can always use the latest version of Sonicstage [2.3] and/or Simple Burner 2 for most likely better functionality.
  12. Moving this to our Essential Hi-MD info/faq subforum. ..and of course, there's always more info in the Sony section @ our Equipment Browser.
  13. Welcome aboard, mate. Yeah, I mean..if it sounds alright through your R90 and isn't playing back correctly through the deck, one would assume there is something wrong. I don't think a deck could reveal issues in a recording that a portable couldn't, at least in this sense.
  14. How so? ..and yes, there is no recording difference between the NH1 and NH900, like most have said the NH900 is probably the best unit to get in this scenario.
  15. Very nice, alot of good information there. Just to add, our Equipment Browser has about 4-5x the manuals of the aforementioned site, but perhaps later today I'll do a double check and see if this place has any we're missing.
  16. Very nice, a noob is the first one to use/notice the attachment feature. [sorry, just had to comment]
  17. How many of you would buy one?
  18. Er, I messed my words up there. My sentiments still pretty much carry the same tune for Alabama as well [sorry cori].
  19. Peter Rojas, an associate of mine and the guy who runs engadget, is talking to a Sony exec probably at this moment [CES] about Sony in '05. He said he'd inquire about Hi-MD for me. I'll keep y'all informed..
  20. No, it shows incompetence in America's economy. Well, of course..Alaska isn't a very hustle bustle place, either. I imagine the people that worked there were employed for a long time.
  21. Thank you for the clarification; I've updated the original topic. Welcome, btw.

  23. I would also recommend reading this: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=6330
  24. Welcome to the forums. Honestly, I'd probably swap it. I doubt the damage is serious, but better safe than sorry, no?
