What OS are you on? These problems sound odd. k

You won't hurt your MD player by loading a MD full of music. haha, this is a funny thread.. k

Go Eggo! I did, but I haven't recieved them yet. Check out the two-page spread of bud phones at Audiocubes: http://www.audiocubes.com/index.php?cPath=22_30 The MDR-EX71SL's (on pg. 2) are really nice, from what I've heard. With shipping, they'd be 55 bucks, though. Oh well. I hope this helped, somehow.

I'd check out eBay, bud. Don't send it to sony, either; they'll probably charge you an arm and a leg. Would you be interested in a headphone amplifier? I think I could find one at an online store for cheap for you. later k

Making labels for Minidiscs is easy. I make 'em in Paint Shop Pro, about ten at a time, and print them all off on one sheet. k

You need an lcd remote to access the rest of the functions. =P

i think it's beautiful. i'd buy it if I could. k

This was the image the guest was trying to post. It didn't load for me, so I just downloaded it from his website and put it on some ftp space I have. Now I'm interested. Anyone know anything about this software? k

I've got the same problem, except it's when I try to do an Analog recording with my MZ-R700DPC. I use a Stereo male-to-male cable that's hooked into my Creative SoundBlaster Pro 5.1 soundcard. I wish I could find my Xitel, but does anyone know what I can do until I buy another? (sorry to do this in your discussion, murasame) The cable is probably shot, but I can try to describe the noise. It's low static and seems to kinda go away when the song I'm trying to record is playing. During quiet parts of a song, it is noticeable (and very annoying). As a result, I've pretty much quit recording new Minidiscs. *shrug* k

Wireless remote or car remote for R700
Christopher replied to a topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
No wireless remote is compatible with the MZ-R700, and that's because the 700 doesn't have an infared port. k -
Labeling expierence[Updated on Friday, March 7th](many .jpg)
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in The Loft
[I'm sure most of you have noticed three seperate "Kid A" labels on this sheet. I couldn't choose so I just decided to make them all. ] ------------ How they actually came out: [Radiohead: I Might Be Wrong Live Recordings] [Dave Matthews Band: Live at Folsom Field] [Radiohead: The Bends] [A mix I made whilst on vacation at Siesta Key, Florida (excellent mix, and cover picture is actually from a siesta key beach, where i spent alot of time shell collecting)] [John Coltrane: A Love Supreme] [Dave Matthews Band: Under the Table and Dreaming + Before these Crowded Streets] [Radiohead - Kid A] and finally (phew!) [Radiohead - OK Computer] I was very satisfied this time around. Having more confidence in the process, things were extremely easy and I had everything done in less than a hour. peace k -
Labeling expierence[Updated on Friday, March 7th](many .jpg)

Yes. I bought the standard 8 1/2" x 11" 25-sheet pack of Avery "White Full Sheet Labels" (product # 8165). Once I've printed the label sheet, it's a breeze to cut them out. The "stick" that the label paper has seems pretty solid as well, and should last a long time. There seems enough space on the paper to probably make ten labels. (10 labels per sheet x 25 pieces of label paper per pack = 250 labels) I've got plenty of blanks to work with, and when I run out, I'll just buy some more. MD's really don't put much of a dent in my pocket. Be sure to watch this thread, because I'll be posting tomorrow's (3/6/03) efforts as well. k [relevant information:] Avery's page about the labels I use: http://avery.com/products/add_to_cart.jsp?...alog_code=WEB01 -

You're wrong, friend. All I have to do is just take the label off and make a new one for it. Honestly, it doesn't take long to make the labels once you've got a hang of it. Why would I want to delete the content on these discs anyways? If I want to record more music, I just buy more minidiscs. 8) peace k -
NOTE: THIS HAS BECOME MY PERSONAL OUTLET TO SHARE MY MINIDISC LABEL EFFORTS. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL WORK ----------- After looking over numerous forums and websites related to custom labeling of minidisc, I decided that today would be the day that I try. I went down to Office Depot and picked up some Avery label paper, whipped up a few pictures in Paint Shop Pro, and voila': [the five images i made] ----------- how they actually came out: [radiohead - pablo honey] [311 - from chaos] [mazzy star - so tonight that i might see] [jimi hendrix - voodoo child: the essential jimi hendrix collection] [radiohead - amnesiac] I'm really satisified with what I've done, and I definitely suggest that you make graphic labels, if possible. It rocks! later k

err, that Guest post was me. Yeah. k

Mystyler, is that true about the digital in the Live! cards? I've got a 5.1 I just purchased, and I really don't want to find out that I can't use the digital out for minidisc recording. That can't be right, it's got a program..Minidisc Center. =P k

I know it may seem a chore to manually enter your song names, but I promise it's not as hard as you think. It's slow at first, but you'll pick it up. Anyone else here able to manually title tracks really fast? I can do a full album in about five minutes or less, depending on how much text. k

Has anyone used Memorex's LabelMaker Pro software? I'm seriously considering purchasing it, because a 180 pack of blank white labels is only $9.99 at ememorex.com. The software is $9.99 as well. I've read the other related label topics at the T-Station forum, as well. Help me out? k

transfer from MD (SONY MZ-R37) to PC (SB LIVE 5.1)
Christopher replied to mefistofele's topic in Minidisc
How's that SB Live 5.1 working out for you? Just curious. k -
I think it's a federal regulation in the United States not to have any sort of electronic equipment running during takeoff/landing. I might be wrong. k

Anyone remember that old killing joke (i think) song.. "free speech, free speech, free speech is for the dumb!" If you don't like the Minidisc format, then leave us alone. We don't care that you don't like the Minidisc player, man. This whole flaming the Minidisc format is lame, and I really don't understand why you iPod and other various solid-state/flash memory music guys come here and hassle us. Do I come to your place of business and tell you how to count the requisite number of McNuggets? k

I have no idea where you live, so I can't really tell you where else to go. That seems like a pretty decent price for a 505, coming from CC, that is. Good luck. k

Well, some companies make headphone amps. I've never used one myself, but I was just looking at one here: http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php...products_id=143 ..and it seems pretty nice to me. I don't know exactly what you're looking for specification-wise, but I thought I'd at least throw in the word that there is something out there that can help you. k

Honestly guest, I would recommend that you send your unit to a Sony repair facility. There's not much that I think anyone could recommend, apparently since there's a good bit of physical damage to the internal components from what you're saying. You might still be under warranty if you act quick; if not, then be prepared to shell out some serious $. k

http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...=289&highlight= That should help. If you're too lazy to click the link, then I'll just say it here. When I went through the x-ray machine with my 700DPC, I had no preformance problems whatsoever. k
