interesting article, but nothing mentioned of Hi-MD, or recording, or uploading, but interesting, although I don't agree with the Nirvana reference, Tangerine Dream would be more to my liking Bob

http://www.informationarchitects.jp/slash/...dmap_start.html Found this neet map of web sites/trends overlayed on a map of Tokyo, neat map, this one is clickable, you can also get it as wallpaper Bob

To me one note from any Manfred Mann Earth Band has more feeling than anything U2 has ever done, I think Bono is a drunk rich kid who likes to spout off, but fails to put his money where his mouth is. as in funneling his income out of Ireland so he doesn't pay taxes. That's plainly two faced, save your country before you worry about someone else. Just my thoughts though. Bob

OTOH the other noise pollution being talked about could be stuff like industrial noise, jets taking off (not a problem here), loud car stereos (mine doesn't count), drone of a/c units, hum of transformers, etc, I still like my first list tho Bob

I've had five or six in about eight years, way to many if you ask me, and I'm not alone in theis region Bob

If I'm not wrong your unit doesn't have a USB connector, just line in mic and optical and headphone, if so, sonicstage won't help, you'll have to go into the menu structure of the unit and set it si SP. Good luck, Bob BTW, here is a link for the users manual, have fun http://minidisc.org/manuals/sony/sony_euro...tion_manual.pdf

Hi There, I'm 55 and know I have hearing damage, but I can still hear what sounds bad, my advice try what you want and let your ears be your guide Happy listening, Bob
-
Yeah, checking again, no USB but it is MDLP, so it will still have to be set to SP to work in the car Bob
-
get sonicstage 3.4 or newer and in the record menu record in SP. If you are recording in lp2 or 4 it won't work, you have to go SP Good luck, Bob
-
I agree with A440, go to at least 3.4, or up, the software that comes supplied with the unit isn't worth it. Bob
-
Buy it, you won't be sorry, and don't use the bundled software, get SS 4.2 or 4.3, even 3.4, but don't use anything older Bob

That is beautiful, a knob twirlers dream com true, I agree with wiz that a Hi-MD attachment would be neat, can one plug in optically?? Also how much>, probably more than a dollar!!! Bob

NH700 or 800 probably your best bet Bob
-
NH700 will only upload what it has recorded, RH1 will upload pretty well anything. What is the situation of the discs u want to upload?? Bob
-
Should work very well, will break SW's and reduce echoes. Let us know how it turns out, Bob
-
agreed, wonder if the "dock" is universal enough to use anything on?? Bob

http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/07/bibliochaise_wh.php Strange item, kind of neat, if it had built in speakers and a spot for minidisc I may never leave the house Bob
-
Nice looking little unit. To begin with you will need sonic stage, go for 3.4. At best all you will be able to do is download from your puter, you can't upload with an MDLP deck. If you have all the cables and adapters you shouldn't have a problem Bob
-
I get hungry looking at it, should save mine here, maybe make a ??? Bob

bummer, I remember being on Grand Cayman after Hurricane Ivan (bigger than Katrina), lucky no real deaths to talk about, but the island was devastated, no services. My prayers go out to them, Bob
-
So Sorry, just looked in the equipment browser, and all it has is line in/optical, all you can do is real time with it, sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase. Now that you have SS why not try Hi-MD, some bargains on ebay, and there was an NH600 for $30.00 here a couple of days ago. Good luck, Bob

Nice one, thanks, I'll have to try it when I next get onto my linux side ( the source u know) BTW, how are things your way, any more shakes or rain?? Bob
