is the remote backlit or any part of the unit?

. well that's just store pickup, meaning u can buy the item online but can't pick it up at the store. there are none inside of the bestbuy.

or if u dont have the funds for an RH1, u can get the NH600D from ebay. i just bought one as a back up unit to my NH900. the unit was less than $100 and is BRAND NEW, SEALED in original box. final bid auction was $61 with $15 shipping and $3 for insurance.

so would i be able to upload a disc that was made from my minidisc deck??? since it didnt use SS to record the tracks.

i dont have an RH910, but i do have an NH900 and have the G750 and had an N707 and had the NHF800, they all spat out the disc.

i have the NH900 and i love the HD digital amp on it. i have not stopped using it since i gotten it. i do agree with u about the pause/stop button...stupid design...but it dont bother me too much since i dont use it for stealth recording. and also the LCD screen on the unit is not backlit.... other than that i prefer the NH900 over my former NHF800

yup same here. i haven't bought any disposable batteries since I only use NiMH...these are great.

i had the very first gens of the N707 and never experienced the ribbon malfunction...still dont understand how the ribbon can become disconnected.

have u tried another disc, maybe is just that disc that's faulty.
