really, i have my paypal account linked to my checking account, usually there's no money in there. i just transfer from my bank account to paypal and wait 3-4 days for it to clear. i prefer it this way, cuz i dont want a direct link to my bank acct.

no more non himd units for me....the only legacy unit i got is the g750.

the only way to transfer audio from your minidisc player to your laptop is from real time only. u can't upload them unfortunately, but some HiMD units like the new RH1 allows u to upload. real time recording is all u can do with your R700.

download and install Sonicstage 4.0 and see if that helps. i dunno about transferring them to an Ipod, but u should be able to burn to a CD.

definitely rip off of sony.....as for the built in mic, i would prefer them to be flat. rather than sticking out like that.

does the RH1 really have an HD amp? on the back of my RH1 there is no logo of it having an HD amp. on my NH900 it has the HD amp logo on the back of the unit.

yes, the RH1 has a mic in, u can just plug the mic and it should work.

can i ask u why u want a mono mic? i dont see why the RH1 wont be compatible with the mono mics.

the spectrum analyzer is defintely just eye candy....at least for me. i would rather have the song titles displayed.

your 510 will not be able to upload back to the PC....the other way to get it back to your PC is via the line out on the 510 (if it has one) and do it in real time. but if u have lots of music, this take forever. the other option is to get a HiMD, which allows u to upload.

I had no skipping problems with my RH1......

yeah, that's a stock photo and u can't really trust a picture anyway. believe me, the stock remote or the 800 unit has no backlighting.

can other remotes with a backlight like the RM-MC38EL work with the NHF800?

i can confirm that there is NO backlight on the unit or the remote itself. i had previously owned this model, but sold it to get the NH900. there is nothing wrong with your NHF800....

is the unit still under warranty? maybe u can send it in and they get fixed for u free if it is under warranty.

i dont need to rotate the discs, cuz they last quite a while b4 they do crap on me. but they do crap out...... and i do have a lot of discs. besides, the radio programs, after i listen to it i just delete it. i dont keep it.
