  1. Finally gave in to temptation and ordered the MZ-RH1. I was originally going to skip the RH1 for now and buy a NW-S205 but sprung for the RH1 after all the good words about it. Have to decide if I will be keeping my RH10 now...
  2. Listening to "Under the iron sea" by Keane on my MZ-RH10. Disc was recorded in LP2.
  3. That information might be dated. While OLED may be far off from competing with LCD, Plasma etc. the blue OLEDs used in the MD players have a longer lifetime, typically in the order of 10,000 to 20,000 hours I think. I remember reading about this somewhere but couldn't find a link right now.. zzzz!
  4. Another nod for the cheap remotes - I bought an MC38EL as well, for my N505, working great so far.
  5. Nice pictures, very attractive unit indeed.
  6. I'm listening to a LP2 MD with the following albums John Legend - Get Lifted KT Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope Tony Bennett - The Art Of Romance
  7. I'm addicted!! I already owned a Sharp SD-SG11 (Den), MZ-N505 and a Sharp Hi-Fi with a SP MD recorder (in bedroom, forget model number) and have added the following this year so far - MZ-RH10, RM-MC40ELK, RM-MC38EL after selling my MZ-E10 with regret! In addition, last year I gifted a MZ-N505 to my parents and MZ-NF610 to my brother so I could send them MDs. I bought a 100 pack of MDs so I could keep churning them out. Ordered a set of adhesive backed inkjet sheets so I can print labels for my MDs, keep them looking good. I'm a software engineer by profession and will probably write a software package to help me keep track of all the MDs before I go crazy. On a related note, most of my music these days is from Satellite Radio (XM) and Yahoo Music Unlimited (on my PC through Creative Audigy's Optical Out)
  8. Not bad but I'm saving my cash for the MZ-RH1
  9. I suggest that you trade the iTunes Gift Card for a similar card from the Connect Store.
  10. Alright, it took a while but I think I've finally found the best speakers for my SD-SG11. I just bought a pair of Infinity Primus 160 speakers and they sound great, feel solid and the look matches my SD-SG11. They do look just a bit too big but the sound from smaller speakers just didn't measure up. Best of all, they come with a 5 year warranty! Here's a link http://www.infinitysystems.com/homeaudio/p...od=PRIMUS160BKS I'll try to post a picture soon!
  11. Honest seller! I bought a MZ-RH10 - was new as described. Supplied with Amazon receipt and prompt email communication. Would buy from again. Transaction was completed by check rather than paypal to avoid fees.
  12. Solid buyer! Responsive email communication, fast paypal transaction. Would gladly deal with again. Cheers!
  13. karaok - I don't see any mention of an optical line out! doclloyd - Spot on with the comment about bringing old equipment back to life! I have an SD-SG11 too and now that I can upload I'll be keeping it happily! I just bought an RH10 (from the classifieds) and will probably be a while before I can buy this one though!! Any Engadget readers out there? Ryan Block is getting a lot of flak for his comments today! http://www.engadget.com/2006/03/23/sonys-m...d-lives-alright
  14. Swell, that's what I wanted to hear! Thanks bland10000 and 1kyle!
  15. Gonna make the jump to Hi-MD at last. I have too much invested in MDLP discs though. I'm a lazy MiniDisc user in that I have many recorded MDs that have not been finalized - meaning I haven't split all the tracks well enough, titled them and flipped the record tab. My NetMD unit is giving me trouble and I've decided to go Hi-MD with a RH10. However, I want to find out if I'll be able to pop in a MDLP disc and edit tracks, titles etc. I know I can't record MDLP but can I edit existing MDLP MDs? I apologize if this has been answered before, I tried searching
  16. I just saw this message, sorry. I'd be willing to ship to UK if we can work out the payment and shipping details. Let me know. Cheers The MZ-E10 is still up for sale, I just am not using it as much as I would like to. Willing to sell for $100 + shipping.
  17. This is great news. Any further information about the Music Service (Yahoo) functionality? I'm curious.
  18. I'll bump the asking price to $120 + shipping to make it more attractive.
  19. Help me find a good home for my beloved MZ-E10. I've babied it thus far but realized I hardly ever use it so its off to a good home. I have the original box, all included accessories (new earphones, charging stand, pouch, headphone adapter). Needless to say, it works great, looks flawless. Pictures can be uploaded if anyone's interested. Looking to get $100 + shipping. Cheers!
  20. I have one that I've been wanting to sell. I used it about half a dozen times and still have the original box, all original accessories, I never used the original earphones. Make an offer. I can send you a picture if you want.
