That's great that it works with SonicStage. I would like the Skype/IM features but it costs too much for that right now. Price might go down in the future though, if volume picks up or it tanks!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your DH10P, Stuge. Your cheapest option to buy the unit is probably this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/MZ-DH10P-Hi-MD-Walkman...1QQcmdZViewItem Good luck!

Pata2001 got it right. On a related note, I'd love to be able to stream my SonicStage library to the XBox 360. Will Sony add this capability to the PS3? I might have to sell my 360 and buy the PS3 just for that

Thanks, Stuge. No such offer for the US I guess, it just redirects to the US PlayStation site. Also, on the topic, just ordered the new Sony Xplod CDX-GT510 for my wife's car. It's a CD player head unit that plays MP3/WMA/AAC and ATRAC from your CDs!
-
And what did you have to do to get that?

Just ordered a Philips DVP642 DVD player. Nothing wrong with the existing DVD player, this one just happens to play DivX, Xvid, MPEG4 and PAL discs too. Could not resist at approx $30!!

Does this unit ship in one box with the main unit and speakers or does it come in two boxes? I have a friend visiting Japan and this information would be useful. Thanks in advance.

Oops, sorry. Jaylen is right.

I've just paid for a MZ-DH10P that Valder had on sale in the classifieds. I really like album art on my songs and am looking forward to this unit!

Beyer66, I am not sure I get what you did. I suspect you may be trying to burn a data cd, as opposed to an audio cd. Burn an audio cd of your songs, a cd that will play in a regular CD player. Then you should be able to rip the music just like any other store-bought cd.

I'm sure I've seen jewel cases on sale at minidiscaccess.com I can't seem to bring their site up right now but try it out later, I think they have plenty.

What are the problems faced when you use SonicStage through VirtualPC? This was an arrangment I've been wanting to move to so I am curious.

Thank you, Diwali was good. Well, as good as it can be outside India

Unfortunately, its the state of DRM these days. You can't really convert DRM-ed music from one format to another. Can't really fault Sony, there is no easy way to do this. You'll run into the same predicament when trying to switch from iTunes to another platform, or Sony's Connect to another platform. The only legal way to transfer your music would be to burn to an audio CD and rip it again into your desired format. Not desirable, but it works. If you are willing to tread the legal barb wire, search the Internets for FairUse4WM

Listening to Massive Attack's "Collected"

That's pretty neat. I'd love to have that setup in my car

[attachmentid=2049] Went ahead and bought it... could... not... resist! First impressions are good, surprised to see native WMA playback. Streaml1ne, I've had my eye on the reader for a while (since CES) but didn't realize it was shipping. Can I ask where you ordered it from? Thanks!

I did the best that I could with my 3MP CyberShot. Hope you like it. http://picasaweb.google.com/arvindg/MyNewMZRH1

Listening to David Gray's "Life in slow motion" in LP2 on my new RH-1

Thanks for the wishes, Spargo. I guess the new RH-1 owners are just being more vocal than they have been? Speaking for myself mostly! Thanks to the RH-1, I will now be starting a SonicStage music library. I have previously tried and given up on the program but I think it will be good to have a library of all my recordings. As a bonus, I can now transfer the recordings to any new Sony flash players I may buy! Maybe the NW-S205F? Hehe!

Pink Floyd! Anyone else seen the new Pulse DVD? Video quality could use improvement but still amazing concert!!

I received my MZ-RH1 in the mail today and boy am I happy! This baby feels amazing in my hand. Light and sleek. I love the crispness of the text on the OLED. I miss the scrolling a bit, but hey I have an MC-40ELK and still have my MZ-RH10. The sound is just spot on. The only other unit I've ever owned that came close in build quality was the MZ-E10. Anyway, I was already running SonicStage 4.0 so it was a matter of hooking it up and trying to upload my MDLP tracks! I picked an untitled dance track that I had recorded off XM Radio's BPM last year and uploaded it, no problems. I wasn't able to find my untitled track in my library though - I thought it would be easy to find the only untitled track in my library but it didn't seem to be there. After a bit of searching I found it - SonicStage had automatically found the name of the song and album and organized it - amazing!! I had turned this setting on in the past but I did not expect it to find a song that had no information and was recorded off the radio - I had put in track marks myself to cut off the DJ's talking so the track could not have even been the right length. How does SS do that? Anyway, really happy now! I shall post pictorials when I get a chance.. not this weekend though! Have a good weekend all.

Yes, I love the display. However, from all that I have been reading I am expecting the RH1 to be a better recorder (in terms of sound quality and of course saved EQ settings). So, if I keep the RH10, it will have to be just as a player.. Oh well, counting down the days to the RH1 arrival now

Seller's shipping is exorbitant!
