i'm going to close this thread it's a clear duplicate of the other one Alighero. continue discussion here http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=14254&hl=

outside of personal electronics field a similiar thing has happened with BMW's iDrive system, they took a whole cabin layout of switches, radio, st-nav &c and put it all in a single screen & wheel combo, similar to what i'd imagine apple are trying to do with computer keyboards... anyway it's been slated across the motoring globe & continues to be years after it's debut

http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=himd&b...e&lmode=unknown or try http://www.ebay.com i'd say a sony rh910 would suit you very well. check arounf the forums for reviews http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showt...t=0entry87146 try to haggle it down a little.

sounds silly. lifetime warranty means lifetime, not lifetime up until you open the packaging. in the US people have had 25 year old porta pros repaired for free. get back on the phone to the koss europe people & ask them.
-
what is your budget & location Scott?
-
look into marcnet's himd renderrer. for netmd it can get music of although it'll be real time & an analogue recording
-
i always thought you looked the 'low self esteem' type J

please read the faqs at the top of the software support forum, where this thread is/will be moved to.

i think it's a bit much myself, ebay.com brings up good condition n707s for as little as $40 for i'd be considering a nh600 [about $90] or nh700 [for around $100is] both from ebay

.50? insane. care to share this location?

sound recording quality is the same, some have additional features for playback & stuff.
-
try running the MDAC repair tool in our downloads section
-
if the only diff. is the chipset then why not upgrade? sounds like you might be getting a usb issue rather than a software one
-
needs the openMG module that comes with sonicstage
-
http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=12683 it'll be real time but you'll keep your track title details.

pinned until no longer useful

http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9586 try installing the connect addon from this thread then onto you asia pacific standalone. it's a sticky so you really should take a look at it in full before future threads are created. please consider that people here are only trying to help & terse comments will only hinder your cause. if you need more help than you can get in a fan forum try emailing sony's customer support.
-
i second this whole post although i would point out that asia-pacific sonicstage dosn't have the connect add-on module at all as there is no connect store in the area.
-
asia pacific iirc, no connect store. if you want the connect store then it's no good to you.
-
in sonicstage go to 'tools' -> 'options' -> 'get cd info' -> 'cddb' reregister & make sure you have the 'detailed' checkbox checked. make sure you have the proxy set as the same as your browser unless you use a special proxy setting, in which case put that instead

ocean rain - echo & the bunnymen
-
do you mean sonicstage? no. it's an essential piece of software for interacting with himd & other sony aduio hardware, like itunes is for ipods.
-
i think 3.3 standalone is still in our download section for a couple of weeks. download it if you want, at least for archive purposes. they'd make you pay for it btw, because it's not a current version online so they'd almost certainly send you a disk.
-
yep, there's a couple of threads about on this forum, please make further use of the search function
-
for some 'control' in this test try playing it with a couple of types our ear/head phones too please.
