do they have proper id3 tagging? if tunes are imported without it they end up unclassified & unnamed, comming after Z in the library if sorted by artist.

UMS comes with win98se [not perfect though!] win ME win 2000 win xp & pro UMS is also supported by many linux distros & OS9.something

i'd use lp2 myself. lp4 gets all 'swooshy' on cymballs & other complex sounds.

i had the same problems`with my mzn1 - the high speed usb stops recording well before the line in/optical. sounds to me like an upgrade to a new music player of some description is in order.

can you burn them to a cd or better cd image? i don't know much about pure tracks.
