jason using sonicstage v3.2 any oma/omgs can be imported without drm, meaning you can treat them as normal files for a back up or whatever. older files will need to be reconverted [you can do it to the same bitrate!] & will also be drm free.

we only have the japanese manuals here http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MDX-C8000.html sorry, but as the unit was japan only there may never have been an english manual. lets hope an english speaker familiar with the carunit can talk you through this.

i don't dislike it, the colours & font are great, i just thought the details tuff is cramped compared to all the space the ads can roam around in.

the 'sony voice network' part is very cramped compared to the width of google ads. looks better on some monitors though at 1280x1024 & above

you get you image on the hard drive then right click 'album' in sonicstage & goto properties then to 'add' under the image box

what md unit do you have? & what is the format that the majorit of discs are recorded in - standard play? longplay? for the lp2 disks i'd recomend a piece of cheap software called winnmd http://winnmd.net/ however you must have both sonicstage installed on the PC & NetMD recorder.

makes sense especially with the no. of sony products that don't support atrac. think the google ads should be moved though as they spread the banner a bit much.

it's a pity but no surprise after dumping the 1st gens on the market rather thsan bringing out the newer stuff. once again thank you zathura for binging us an insider's view of sony australia. looks like ebay & other importers will get a big pick up from australian minidisc loyalists & those others requiring a portable recording solution
