Edit*Hey guys, I will be going overseas at the end of November, and basically want to ask all you guys of you knowledge of some good shops/locations to visit while I am in certain locations. (I have never been overseas before:D) My Itinerary is (sorry for incorrect spelling ): England – centre of England, Oxford, Southampton and Brighton Centre of Pairs Centre of Rome Centre of Venice Switzerland – Lucerne Centre of Florence I know of all the tourist sites and all of those locations. I am more interested in the electronic side of things as well as music shops for musical instruments. i.e. electronic shops, cheap retailers… I am wanting to purchase a Trombone Gig Bag, (brand called "BAM") wondering if any of you musician buffs know of any store locations near Rue des Boulets 75011? Where I would be able to purchase the case? Also a general question about exchange rates etc. $AUS to English pounds is like "times $1.5 Aussie dollars” So it is more expensive to buy things in England...On the way to and from Europe I will be stopping at both Singapore airports for a 2-4 hr stop over... Are there many shops/Duty free shops in the Singapore airports where you can purchase Mobile Phones, PDA's, Cameras? Those kinds of things? (We aren't allowed past customs) And my last question - do you know if it would be cheaper to purchase things at the Singapore airport, or back in the Australian Duty Free shops? Thanks very much guys! Andrew

Not Enough Live Recordings In Gallery/archive..
MZ-NH1 replied to Christopher's topic in Live Recording
I got loads of Brass Band Recordings... only problem is the file size, and the time it will take ME to upload them with my crappy 128kb/s upload speed =16Kb/s Stupid Australian Broadband! :@ -
Ahaha, they do don't they! Ishi, do you know if anything has been said about the cracking/breaking buttons on the players? Aparently people experienced cracks in the buttons, reported it to Sony, and Sony replied saying they must have miss-treated the unit :|

Sony Sees Weak LCD Prices, Better Music Service
MZ-NH1 replied to Ishiyoshi's question in PlayStation
Agree with both of you! Specially - 4 - offer other audio formats; especially important is at least one lossless-packing format And maybe start selling all your products in Australia, sooner, than making us wait 6-12 months -

I GOT MY XD200'S TODAY! $69 AUS From the Sony Central shop in Chatswood, Sydney Just about to start the burn in! And will take some pics as well latter tonight PICTORIAL REVIEW: I have been burning them in for about 50hrs altogether now, and as soon as I put the headphones on, the sound was fantastic! I won't be able to do as good a review as Ishi , but I will try my best. Sound: I mostly listen to Brass Band, Trombone, POP, Jazz, songs, so sound clarity was a main concern for me when purchasing these headphones. The sound quality is really good, and the bass is excellent. I have heard background instruments in recordings with these phones that I have never heard before! The phones are Hi-Fi headphones, which means that they are really mean for linking up to an amplifier, but I find them quite loud enough. On my MZ-NH1, with the volume set to 20, they are quite loud, and then at 30, it sounds like you are right there in the song! Comfort: I was told by some in the Hi-Fi forums that the 200's were very uncomfortable to wear, but I have not found this to be the case at all. Once you have adjusted the head straps, you put the cans basically on the very top of your head, and they don't bother you at all. They are very light to wear, and look a little plastic, but the overall comfort is very good. Test to hear the difference: My whole family was very eager to see if I had spent my money wisely, so I got them all to listen to a 20 seconds clip my the old headphones, and then I would reply that clip again using the 200's. My mother who is a piano teacher could tell the difference straight away, and was stunned at the difference. All other family members could tell that the 200's were a lot clearer, and the clarity was much better. If you want to know anything else about these, feel free to ask me. Never written a review before, so didn’t really know what to include. Let me know if I missed anything out!

Sony VAIO Pocket VGF-AP1L Pictorial
MZ-NH1 replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
Let us know where you buy 1 from if you do Adrain! As I'd love to know! Ishi, I read a review last night, stating that all the buttons on the righ hand side were very sensitive, and hard to use, making it very difficult to scroll down lists etc... Do you find this the case at all? Ishi, in your pictures, it looks really big, but in the reviw above, it is suggested it is no longer than a mouse.. Can I have some dimensions of how long, and thick it is please... And do you find it top-heavy, with the battery in the 1 side..? -
Do you mean Sony are deciding which 2nd Gen models to bring out? Or which 1st Gen Hi-MD units they are thinking of re-releasing to Sydney dealers?
-
Yeh thanks. I have been having a good look at the PX100's as well... need to try both out. The PX100's just look like they'd fall off a moving head... Other thing is the px100's don't have the lowest sounding frequency... 15-27,000... Sony's is 10-22,000

Ishi - if I could just confim a couple of things as wel thanks 1. The unit can play back for 20 hrs? 2. When the unit is connected to the computer, does it take the electricity form the PC, like MD's? or does it use its battery power up? 3. Can my MD lithium battery go into the Pocket Lithium battery? (i am guessing not, because the MD can only play for 12 hrs.. compared to 20) 4. With the new MD's and mp3, the highest bitrate is 192kb/s I thought i heard, is this the same for the Pocket? or can it have up to 320*kb/s? 5. Does the Pocket custom come with theleather cover and wrist material holder thing :S... or are these xtra accessories? 6. If I took the Pocket to a friends house.. and had previously dragged and droped files into the Pocket, NOT using SS, I would be able to access those drag and dropped files ONLY on my friends PC through Explorer correct? That's all for now Thak you very much for all your help! -
Many people have said thee 200's arn't very loud... I was told that through an e-mail from Sony as well "be aware that headphones like this aren't made for portable devices. They will not be very loud." Wouldn't I overcome this by turning up the volume?
