Yeh that is quite strange... a Mod just going off and deleteing topics :| Something must have happened. 1 comment on ads Chris, I dunno if you mind, but when I was reading a post, the ad at the bottom of the page was an ad for Apple iPODS!

Ahaha yeh Kaotic I hear ya Yeh Coldplay for sure is a good 1. I was only able to listen to the first 8... as I only have a 10GB download limit for Broadband per month... so I'll have to wait till the last day before I can download all clips I like

Main music listening device. Put as many of my songs from my PC to MD as I can fit. Also used for recordings of myself playing my Trombone and other instruments to use for constructive criticism about how things can be used. Also record concerts

I was just asking whether it can be done But obviously you think it wouldn't be a good idea, so I won't do it. Lastest verision is 7... ok.. I have 6.5.. and go Update, and it says all components up to date... Anyone know where I can get JUST QT V7.x from? Any ideas on how to stop me downloading two versions of the clip? It auto downloads the cip in the browser, then when I go Save Target, it saves the whole clip again :|

To True! Maybe we should have a new thread... with a Poll, asking members what MD unit they have.. like 1st gen and/or 2nd Gen... all that kinda stuff so we all get a kind of idea? And we also have to make it onto this web site as well! http://www.big-boards.com/ This site has the biggest forums on the net I am a member of another forum which is no. 67 Whirlpool forums. Minidisc.org is yet to make an appearance

I opened up 10 of the links... and I think I have taken all the bandwitch away from AOL ... taken yonks to load them Done 100mb in 1 min sofar Does anyone know if you can transform .mov (QuickTime) files to Windows Media Player files? 1 more thing... When I click a link for the video.. it opens up and starts to download the video... even when it has downloaded all the video, and I go Page Info, and then Save Media, it downloads the whole thing again :| Any way to stop this? Do I have to make QuickTime Save files to cache? Because I then have to download everythign twice

I just don't like it how it takes 5 seconds to get the fast foward actually started.. and then when it does fast foward... it takes forever.. it only goes like a lil bit faster than normal play back time

^^^^ I couldn't agree more... their lack of knowledge about soem products just amazes me, whilst others know everything about products. Whenever I go to Sony Central in Chatswood I always end up talking to the same guy about Minidiscs and He never really knows anything about them I know that the staff can't no everything about every product, but this guy kept saying "is that the MD on Japanese web sites?" and saying others had also asked about it. Wouldn't you think they might talk to Sony shippers... or suppliers to ask what this '2nd Gen MD' is? and to see when they might be getting it in!?

daremo your way worked! Thanks very much!!!! Bri, I will get the latest update as well. I was never able to dl QT by itself without iTunes! But now I can, thanks! Opps... I speak too soon When you go download QuickTime, it comes up then saying, QT with iTunes for Win XP, or QT for Win98 ... now downloading the Quick Time Player. Oh no, you HAVE to get iTunes as well??? Found a site http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html. Is 6.5 the latest Windows version? Thanks guys

Yeh I am sure we did as well... and from what I remember... most people wanted 2GB if not 5GB... Doubt that will happen though

For some reason... in I.E, I can't even get the movies to open up in a new window :| It doesn't really bother me though... and tartan, I tried what you said about Options --> Tools... what that did is download the movie through the browser... which took quite a while.. So i'll just leave it. The thing is, I have never been able to Save As QuickTime Movies on the net...

AHAHAHA! Arn't we all!
-
Lol really! I have Mozilla... the move comes up using QuickTime, I right mouse click, and Save Target is blanked out... do I have to wait for the whole video to be streamed first?
-
But they are Quick Time formats... you can't do that with them can you? I will double check... yeh there all Quicktime... you can't Save As with them
-
Is there any way you can save the files to your PC??
-
Yeh I recon ey! They seem to have no idea about anything that Sony shop! You ask them... and they are like... Haven't heard what that is... is that the thing on a Japanese web site or something other customers have been talking about? Ridiculous!
