  1. Just wait a sec. Are you saying with this tool you can transfer .MP3 files across to you Hi-MD Discman? or only to the new *Walkmans's Sony have just brought out? If yes to the 1st question, does this mean you can transfer .mp3 files to the MZ-NH1?
  2. thanks for keeping us informed marnet! look forward to the next release
  3. I have already asked this.... about 1 week ago, and havn't got any replies. Just wondering if you can consider this marcnet - The only thing I can suggest adding to it is that when you go "Find" for the location of the .oma files, when the path has been found, you can scroll down, but not across. My file location is very long, so I cannot see the actual file, if there was a scroll ACROSS bar, this would be excellent! Keep up the excellent work!
  4. Version 21 looks great!! 6. It really isn't that hard to find the music files. You yourself select where abouts the file should go :| In the SS options....
  7. That is one HUGE fan, how on earth will the case fit over that!? :S Maybe when Sony was designing the cradle/docking stand, they should have put slits in the bottom or sides or something to let the 'heat' out.
  8. I think it must have something to do with HOW the file was recorded to the MD (Sony file protection or some bs like that) or the program that I am using Audacity does something, but as no one has posted a problem with Audacity, then I think it is the MD
  9. AHAHAHAH, now that is cool! Well Done. When I bought my MZ-NH1, that was one of the 1st things I realised... on all pics I had seen, the USB was coming out of the docking stand, and then when i looked, there was a cut out bit.. glued back in. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see some of the ideas 'creative' people come up with
  10. AHAHAH, that looks AWSOME!!!!!! Well done! Nice video! seppo, what Hi-Fi unit are you using which can read your MiniDiscs? I have never seen something which can do that!?
  11. I have a new problem . I have transferred the files across to my PC, and edited them using Audacity. I have then saved them as .wav file and then tried to burn them to a CD using Nero, but when the files have been loaded it goes 'The selected WMA files are copy protected' !?? So there fore it cannot load them! So I thought, maybe if I saved them a mp3 it would work, so I go save as mp3 in Audacity and it tells me I need LAME, so I go and download lame, but in Audacity it says you need to find a specific file, and I just can't find this file. Can you please help me out! *Edit* It seems, no matter what file conversion I use, it keeps saying that the file is copy protected! Does anyone know how to fix this?
  12. Thanks heaps for that. Will try it later today
  13. K thanks very much for those solutions everyone. jadeclaw, when you mean, go through the sound card, do you mean to get a cable, that plugs into the Headphone socket of the MD, then the audio socket of the PC, then use a recording program to record from the MD? If so, what program would you recommend? Total Record?
  14. As the heading suggests, my friend has recorded a concert using his Net MD in LP4 mode, and is wanting to transfer the tracks onto a CD. So he has given me his disc, and I have inserted it into my MZ-NH1 (Hi-MD), and I can see all the tracks on the MD using SS 2.2, but when I go ‘transfer to My Library’ the transfer bar comes up, then it says Transfer complete, but when I open the Album I told it to transfer the file too, there are no files there. Should I be able to transfer tracks recorded on a NetMD in LP 4 onto my PC using my Hi-MD unit? All suggestions and instructions on how to do this are welcome, Thanks
  15. Sorry for the stupid question, but when I get into SS 2.1, is there suppose to be a box which says, NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE? or am I suppose to go to a web site and download the new version. If the latter, can someone please post the web site, as I got no idea where to look. Thanks :S And should we backup our library before installing the new version? Thanks

  17. So is the article stating that when a new upgrade of SS comes out, it will allow us to transfer mp3 files to our MD's?
  18. My cousin has an iRiver, and he was showing me yesterday how good their customer support was. Every month or so, iRiver would come out with updated firmware for all devices. Customers could write in and say that they had a glitch, and some even wrote in, to have games made for the remote! It would be great if Sony did this kind of update for their software.
  19. marcnet, HiMDRenderer WIN, is exactly the same as the HIMDRENDER, but in FULL GUI format, because in the DOS format, if you click on the icon, it auto loads with the 'select input' window. What I am asking is, both these programs do exactly the same right... just the WIN version, is complete GUI and the other is more DOS then GUI... That right? :S Hope that all makes sense.
  20. Oh ok! Thanks for that. Cheers You guys are doing a great job with all the converting stuff... :S Keep it up!
