-
I don't have any marks at all. Only put it in the cradle 3 times though (just to charge)
-
nice tartan! go JB's in Bondi! Only it takes me 30-40 mins to get out there

I bought my blank 1GB discs at JB-Hi Fi's at Bondi Junction in Sydney. $8, so got 4. They had 20 in stock then, and I have been told that some Melbourne JB's have them in stock as well. Best option, ring them up and ask if they have any, then put them on hold so no-one can take them until you can go and pick them up!

YES AUSSIE's CERTAINLY HAVE TO PAY WAY TOO MUCH FOR ELECTRICAL GOODS! And it's annoying, because say you go to www.amazon.com you can find lots of electrical products, which you can buy for a lot less $$$, BUT amazon.com ONLY ship books and DVD's to Australia :'(

That's just shit A440! you should write in a complaint, and say it was a recording you could only have taped once.. and you needed it for a special assignment or something! try and make sony feel as bad as possible!
-
Can't wait till the release of version 0.3!!! should be great! able to convert files to .mp3 and .wav! Keep up your excellent work marc!

I have just loaded the Sony Wav converter. Is it only suppose to find files which have been in SS, that have been recorded through the MD? Because I don't have any of my recorded files in SS, so the program doesn't pick up any files that need to be convertered....

The sound shouldn't be any different, if anything, it should sound better I think. Getting 500 songs onto 1GB Discs is very good! At max I can get about 270 songs! which is as they said, 7 hrs of music at the conversion of 256ATRAC3plus
-
I don't know if there is a way you can print out all the tracks sorry. What I would like to ask is: What conversion rate did you use? As I get about 250 songs onto my 1GB disc at 256ATRAC3plus conversion
-
Yeh, it's in Sydney. And I have recieved an e-mail from the Sony Australia online shop to say that they now have the 1gb discs in stock! I will be going on wednesday night, just to try everything out Should be good

Is there a limit to the size of the file when transfering it to the MD? Because 2 files which didn't work for me in transfering them to the MD were 2kb in size. :|
-
Ok, thanks very much
-
Thanks very much for that Jeff! I'll try it all out But what does VBR mean? :S i got no idea!
-
So u suggest to reinstall the whole program after uninstalling all the shit that comes along with the SS?

I haven't had any tracks trashed whilst uploading from MD to PC, but alot of my files get trashed from PC to MD! it loads fine onto the MD, but says track time 00:00 :| and i can't play the track. Anyone got any clues? Please help!
-
I had this same problem with my brand new 1GB discs. It said, disc is full, can;t write any more, even though it said there was 500+MB left! :S All I did was recopy the stuff to my MD, and it transfered the other files!. That prob didnt help u at all, but I thought u might like to know i have the same problem
-
Thanks for that Syrius and aeriyn. Does any1 have the same problem as I have just come across? - I upload a track to the Minidisc (1GB Disc) and it says it has been converted and successfully transfered, yet when I have a look, it says track time 00:00! And when I go and play it, it just plays blank sound for 2 secs, then moves onto the next track! Out of the 250 songs I put onto the disc, I'd say about 100 Max were like this! Anyone know what could be the cause of this? please help me!
-
Yeh! Oh so you can delete the converted atrac files after they have been uploaded onto your MiniDisc!? It would be good if you could! Because as I said, I have got now 5GB worth of ATRAC files which I don't really want
-
I have just spent my whole day of the weekend, uploading music onto my new 1GB discs. It has taken AGES to 1stly convert the music to ATRAC3plus, and then it uploads the songs (and for some reason some songs don't even play :S) Why does Sony make it so hard for its customers! :@ So I have just used up another 4GB of my Hard drive, with the files I had to convert to ATRAC3plus. Why can't they just allow mp3 suport on their products! :@ 1stly change the layout of SonicStage, so that if we do have to use it, make it so we can use it. We should create a partition, with everyone in this forum signing it and then tell them how difficult and TIME WASTING it is to convert the music to ATRAC, then load it to the MD. This for me, and I would think many others, takes up twice as much space on my hard drive. My only other question is, has this already been done?

Questions/Comments for Marc's uploading utility.
MZ-NH1 replied to journalist's topic in Hi-MD Renderer Forum
I burnt a CD of the .wave files after using the Render program, 4 CD's infact, and there was no audio problems what so ever for me. Don't know if this will help at allbut, maybe convert the files to .mp3? -
Lol! I really don't know why Sony just haven't updraded the MD's in a new firmware release of how ever they do it, so that all New Hi-MD's can play mp3. Make life a lot easier for everyone! :@
