So can you transfer the tracks back to the computer in this new version??
-
I would get over it if sony actually removed those restrictions. You see, apple has actually LISTENED to it's customers that's why it's so successfull. Ipod has completed it's purpose and can now retire. It's cycle is over. MD on the other hand has never fully reached it's potential and has poorly been stricted by crap software, crap advertising promotions and crap support. It's seems almost unethical to stop it now without giving us what WE (the consumers) want.

If I saw this I would never have bought a Hi-md last september: Minidisc discountinued Look at entry 128 dated Thurs. Jun. 20. 2002: "I've learned that Sony are discontinuing the minidisc format, and soon players will be unavailable" If it was know that MD was to discountinue way back then in 2002, why didn't we hear about it sooner???

Wow, it looks like every single board member has commented on this one thread!!

I've got a psp and it acts like a removeable disk when connected to usb. They will use the connect player for transferring music to the psp. That's what you can currently do with ss 3.2
-
OMG!!! This is sony's answer to itunes??? PATHETIC!!!!!!!!! SO is this the end of our minidiscs? Am I gonna have to sell my Hi-MD??
-
What's the point in updating then? If these restrictions still exist then as far as i'm concerned these's nothing new about this version of sonicstage. Might aswell stay with my 3.1 now
-
I'm currently using connect europe. Does anyone know where I can get the us version of connect. Isn't there some type of plugin I can use in sonicstage to get the us version? *NOTE: I AM NOT REFERRING TO SONICTAGE BUT JUST CONNECT AS A STAND ALONE PLUGIN.

Get cool edit (aka adobe audition)

The software sucks, the screen on the unit is wack, and I have just find out that the remote to my nh900 is broken after just 8 months Can anyone recommend me an alternative to minidisc whether it be Hard-disk payer or mp3 player? Here is my criteria: -Must be below £200 GBP -Must have a LCD remote (preferably one with backlight) -Must be able to record -Must have at least 1GB Capacity

That is, a folder within a folder. Is this possible?

When importing songs from the computer, can you import directly to that playlist/ album, or is it like version 3.0 where you have to import, then transfer each song manualy??
-
What about the 2nd gen? Do people get the same problem?
-
Say I have about 300 songs from different folders on my 900. What I noticed is that when I put the songs on suffle, the unit tends to play a select of 50 of those songs. There are some songs i've got that I rarely even hear, and there are some that come on almost all the time. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what is the cause of this? Is it just bad algorithm programming from sony?
-
I don't know much about computers and I know this might be illegal but does anyone know a way I can hack sonicstage or debug the program so that I can change some features (i.e remove the restrictions). If you do know a way and it's illegal, can you please pm me
-
Oh come on. Now you're just being unrealistic
-
I would like the 3rd gen to have: video record and playback and all codecs supported, a number and letter keypad, Bluetooth, Colour Screen, Email / Web, GPRS, IRDA, Infrared, Java enabled, MMS enabled, all MP3 bit-rates compatible, Radio, Vibration, 5-line display remote, at least 50 hours battery life, faster transfer rates (USB 3.0), larger screen on unit, the option of drag and drop (without software), customizable bitrate when track is IN the unit, the option to buy 5, 10, 20, or 40 gigabyte discs, touch screen, SIM card slot, built in speakers, memory card slot, the atrac codec to become mainstream like mp3, wav, etc. the option to put tracks back onto ANY computer even when recorded from a CD 5 mega-pixel camera DVD player See, I don't ask for much

I live in the UK and want a Rh10 or a Dh10p on import. Where can I get one from and how much will it cost me?
-
Exactly. Just removed all restictions and i'll be fine
-
What I'd ask Sony: Why don't you remove these stupid restrictions. Take an example from itunes.
-
How do you import songs directly into your desired playlist? SS 3.0 seems to just import the songs in my library and I have to find them and put them in the playlist individually
-

The hack worked perfect for me (nh900 european version) but I don't notice much volume difference

If they do this then ipod will be beaten for sure
