I believe it is highly plausible that one may be able to charge the unit via USB while it's attached to the cradle; this is because the cradle's source of power supply can be derived from either USB Bus Power or AC Adaptor. The attachment on the right of this picture is for the NW-A1000. Please note the picture on the left depicts the attachment for the NW-A3000 attached on the Charging Cradle, BCR-NWU1. So, one will have a choice between two sets of attachment size – one for the NW-A3000 and the NW-A1000; and the user can swap the attachment according to the model which they will employ – with one standard Charging Cradle.

You can't with SonicStage 2.3 due to DRM restriction. However, you can share your ATRAC library (provided you select no DRM during an import) among several PCs. That's not possible. I am sure it was a misunderstanding and he probably meant Mp3 320kbps instead; SonicStage will automatically (for those device that does not support the new ATRAC3plus bit rates) convert any of the new ATRAC3plus bit rates to its default bit rate setting unless you change it to another (ie. 256kbps). Welcome to ALC! Sony's new Network Walkman devices are due this 4th quarter ~ November 19, 2005. Therefore, the "CONNECT Player" should be released about the same time. At this point, it's plausible to state that the "CONNECT" player will at least be useable with the NW-HD5. However, there's just not enough information as to how many "SonicStage" era devices will be supported. All I can say is stay tuned!
