Sounds good; perhaps you would like to share with us an updated pictorial and further impression of your new headphone.

You can rectify your predicament easily, however, in a tedious way. Assuming the double CD set you have is called "A," you will need to manually set the album title of those tracks in question to "A." By default, SonicStage 3.1 organize your music by Artist, hence the chaotic breakdown of your imported compilation CD. One of our knowlegable member, jadeclaw has provided a thorough fix to this so-called problem in another similar thread. To quote jadeclaw:

Could you please elaborate your attempt to transfer in PCM mode to Hi-MD? What sort of error are you getting while trying to transfer in PCM? Post back with more details and I am sure someone will provide you with a sensible answer.

For CDs to MD, you can try MD Simple Burner. Another alternative is Justsystem's BeatJam, which is employed by Sharp. However, BeatJam also employs the OpenMG module. So, basically it is identical to SonicStage.

I believe Hironiemus meant to say the warranty. Is it still valid?

Welcome to MDCF! It seems that while you attempt to install SonicStage 3.1, the Windows Media Component Setup Application did not install properly. I suspect re-installing the Windows Media Component or WMFDist.exe file will resolve your predicament. Please click here for the file. If the problem still persist, I would suggest you read the Hi-MD/NetMD Software FAQ and post back with your system specs. Good luck.

The clear blue Hi-MD media is not available in Japan as yet. Thus far, they can be found in Taiwan, Canada and Europe. (I believe it was Germany or Switzerland) Hopefully, they will show up elsewhere.

You can download the US Connect add-on package I have edited; and the attachment is located towards the end of the first post of this thread.

Ishiyoshi replied to Christopher's topic in Essential Hi-MD info/FAQ's.

Welcome to MDCF! First of all, could you please elaborate as to which MD drivers you have downloaded? Sony or Sharp? In addition, please refer to the Hi-MD/NetMD Software FAQs and post back with your system specs and SonicStage version.

You can definitely set the location of "My Library" other than its default location. Once you launch SonicStage 3.1, go to Tools-->Locations to save imported files and specify a location to save tracks imported from CDs or converted files.
-
Assuming you have read the Software FAQs, could you please post back with your system specs? In addition, your predicament has been thoroughly discussed within the "Software Discussion/FAQ's" section of the forum - with some reported fixes. Please refer to the following threads: 1 and 2.

Yes, I can confirm that. MD Simple Burner reads both true SP [recorded optically] and "fake" SP [done via SonicStage] at a bitrate of 292 kbps.
