Nah, have joel turner (aussie beat box extrondenaire) advertise. Sitting in a white room, he records himself with the mic. then does some tricky transfering b/n the sony laptop and Hi-MD.Then he walks off to the beat of his music or ends up bouncing around the room to the sound of his music! Thats bloody stupid, i think the ad was annoying infact. Sony doesn't noe how to get the general public into Hi-MDs. I think if ppl could do the same thing as ipod (drag drop process) it would make hi-md more appealing. They should have a unique ad for the hi-mds, something they can learn from apple...

Sony needs to add some funk and have a UNIQUE ad, not some stupid ppl with monkey tails or stupid 'super combo' ads. Make it look more appealing! btw, i wreckon retailers in Aus are having a hard time getting rid of stock. i bought my hi-md wen it first came out, and months later, its the same price ;p Sony really needs to rethink price, advertising and what the general public want

do u have those kind of magnet like things that ur power cord is wrapped around on the charging cable. Cos mine does. To apply physics, its designed to increase the voltage without increasing required energy to charge the MD. You ppl might noe this from the idea of copper wire wrapped around a magnet to increase the magnetic field's power. But newayz, if u do have those magnets and u've left them on for 3 days. I think the magnets may have gone into overtime. Btw, does it make a noise like a transformer (for electicity)? I hope u didn't do ne dmg to ur battery

I agree with Drag-Drop abilities. Faster recording times, plays ne type of econded mp3, support for mp4. Fireware updates every 3 months, Li-ion rechargeble, touch naviagtion, faster seek time *but not in HDD*, 2G Hi-MD with higher capacities that would kick a ipod mini's ass. Larger screen for the unit. Firewire or USB 2.0 connection, Mac compatibility, support for other music playing apps. Bring back MEGABASS!

Sony would have to b making profit. But i agree that the Hi-MDs are overpriced which makes this less appealing vs he iPod. But the Hi-MD is more of a recorders' pal while the Apple iPod is desgined for tools who think it'll earn them social status. But October looks about right for the 2G Hi-MDs to come out, its around the same time the 1G Hi-MDs came out

Times like these, i wish Sony had Firmware support like Iriver and other companies do...Cos it would make MDs absoluelty kick ass. Also i wish they had a mini OS e.g. a proper menu...

Yeah, the 'Pulse' magazine that sony issues out every 4 months (i think), is a leading indicator of the new models. E.g. i found out about the Hi-MDs way b4 the general public knew cos of it. But OCTOBER is a bit far away...

My 900 went off for about 3 months until i scared the shits out of the people i had bought mine from, cos they had to replace a 'japanese part'. Like how on earth is 'nipple stick' joystick meant to b made in japan wen it says: Made in Malaysia on the the back? But i got a new machine and it came in the bundle pack! So i gained ofcourse. Just hope the same thing doesn't happen to u Neway, i thought SOny was very fussy and always demands a receipt for warranty fixing, as far as i'm concerned

how long have u had the battery for? oh wellz i've got a NH-14WM that does its job fyn. THey say u should get teh NH-14WM the momment u get ur 900 and thats wot i did. Mayb u should change the battery

I currently use SOny and Panasonic, Panasonic is okay but i think i'll stick with Sony
