you are 90 % right;; but unfortunately my 10% rules in my circle of influence.. you are the 90% of the NORMAL population and with great credentuals (sp) *i hate that fweakin word*..!! i think of myself as an abstract artist more than an normal conniseur (sp) of music;; and of course an abstract sound butcher.. when i remix for my piano students;; they get my abstract impersonation and what makes the real world click;; IMAGINATION!! if they want normal piano lessons;; i tell them to replace me with a boring piano teacher that does it the "Proper" way.. yes,, your method is the proper way;; just like all the bands in my location played all the song (The Proper Way);; the perfect "Cover";; wow,, we can sound like the "Original";; yet they stayed in a club 3 to 4 weeks;; i stayed in they same club for months cause i seasoned my music.. even though you win;; i am happier and happiness rules;; and in my small state here of RI;; everyone know who is the happiest.. but,, then;; my favorite song is Creep by Radiohead;; like my theme song ( am that creep;; i am THE creep);; but my version is seasoned and with a little salt and peppa;; i like to loop the "F" word since it ONLY plays 3 times.. someday we must meet over a cup of coffee or Japaneese tea (or is it Chineese tea) and discuss this.. i can't pull myself to listen to Normal music;; i MUST salt and peppa it and IMO;; your "Smoke" in the smoked steak IS a form of seasoning;; you answered your own question;; you would NOT eat a perfect steak without "smoking" it;; that makes me a 20% winner and you,, an 80% winner;; we are all winners as long as our products end up in a MD/Hi-MD playa;; theya;; saya;; waya..!! late edit]] oh,, by the way;; my family always complains when i season and salt and peppa the family photos;; yes;; i add mucho efx here and there;; and keep just enough of original to keep them from hammering me.. yes;; i even smoke and butcher the family pics;; poor kids;; sometimes i even make them look a bit bettah!!

yeah;; i would only go because my student invited me;; but there ARE some good books there on recording and using things like,, Sonic and stuff like that.. i wonder if they have any books on operating MD-decks and portables?? i usually go in da coffee shoppe section and study these books.. ((and,, of course listen to my Hi-MD#2 and my remixes)).. my student took karate and she would protect me.. i could get thrown out for saying a "Stabbing comment' to an iPoder though..

just came back from a local AM Radio station (i need a song from them);;but anyhowzz;; they had a Sony MD-Deck in EVERY room/studio;; and still use it emensely;; they LOVE it and don't intend on changing soon;; "THEY CARE".. "I CARE" he cares ,, she cares;; Joe cares;; smo cares;; and "i heard it through the grapevine" that Sally cared.. my wife cares cause it makes me happy;; my mailman cares cause MD helps me afford the house that the maie-man has to drop his mail at;; if i didn't have MD and the house ,, the mailman would have a shorter route and maybe laid off for not enough work.. i inderstand the French program personality at that Radio station cares too;; he converted his whole French library to MD's;; his wife should care too and his mail-man.. my my Butcher doesn't care;; and i don't care about him either..

listening to one of the hardest edits/remixes i have ever had to make;; it's an extended version/remix/loop-de-loop of the song "Hope" by Rush on their S&A album;; it WAS less than 2 minutes long and now it's over 5 minutes long.. i looped just the rights spots (short progresstions) and left the longer ones alone;; well ,, i did F**k with one or two.. now i can listen to this all day and not get bored;; and added to my 4 other remixes of songs from S&A;; i think i am gonna enjoy the rest of the day with these and my Hi-MD#1;; maybe hit college hill for a foot long Spikes Dog;; the German Shephard one with sour-crout.. ((this was a rayzray/Tullfan project))..
