You can burn your order of tracks on a CD or virtual drive with nero in PCM form. Then copy to MD with simple burner or SStage.

Irony taken Nothing I can reply to idioms. Besides we live in a money mechanism. Every gear must spin therefore.

I'm too proud to buy another sony born out of damn business strategy. I will not suck their socks. Keep it. They will definitely come out with more crumbs little by little with more and more features that we poor suckers can't ignore. They just want our money that's it. I'm sorry but with their bloody strategies it definitely appears so. Quite different from other companies. Just my 0.2$ though.

I'm starting to think there are too many faulty units from sony. I would try to get money back for a RH1 later. Or get a Sharp MD
-
I agree with you Raja. And unfortunately, I don't have enough money to terminate the bad deal on my head. I need the money back to invest on a serious and safe Sharp. Sony does the mess and we all have to bear the consequences. As harsh it may be. Plus, I have already a N505 with exactly the same problem and I'm still living with it. Take a look on the web and you will find hundreds of people complaining about the buttons issues.

I've tried out well my buggy NH900 only to discover that I can't repair it myself. It's definitely not a hardware problem. And this is even more disappointing because sony doesn't give a firmware update program. This is the last MD I buy from sony. I had buttons problems already with a N-505 and I'm fed up of this cheap gears.
-
Dammit ! I bought a new NH900 from ebay without a warranty just to discover the same problem with the stop, navi and group buttons. I'm now sure after try extensively that IS NOT a hardware problem ! The firmware doesn't handle the pressure time of a button. I'm so p***** off to think that at sony they don't test their cheap gears before producing them. Now I sold it as new to the next victim and blame sony for that. Dammit.

Yeah lol, It makes me at least satisfied to see it as a punishment for sony. Hahaha ! So they learn also from this, greedy useless company !

Thanx guys ! I will give another chance to Sony Hi-MD so I will buy a RH10 (or wait for the RH1!) because actually with a bit of EQ workaround at last you can get close to satisfactory results. Actually actually.Although still on the brick of the boomy edge. It also depends on the music style. (Now Sonic CD soundtrack). Thanks Volta for the recall on EQ. I really don't want to ditch the Hi-MD, Sony did with the Digital Megabass instead. By the way I really don't need other home headphones, I'm still a happy owner of Sony's MDR-CD570 I do need new street headphones set instead. Shigzeo do you really score the old Sony's Megabass sound better than the last Sharp's Auvis ? Nevertheless, I will give my next try to Sharp first. I'm curious to see such a difference that everybody claims. (Detail, stereo image, blah blah...) Just still I have to decide between a DS55 and a IM-DR420. Will I miss much without the Dolby's FXs ? Yeah, hit me hard too Auvi !
-
Most probably because is expensive, but surely because I want deep, sharp and clear bass...not a boomy tone. If the RH1 had the old Digital MegaBass I would definitely buy it .
-
Bland, do you feel comfortable with the EQ settings ? How is the bass quality ? I'd like to know if the bass sounds better than sony's EQ. If you use X-bass you can't adjust treble anymore can you ? Because it doesn't work with EQ together. How is the dolby and surround ?
-
Ehi kruskev, how is with such sound effects ? Do you like them ? Because I don't know if to buy a sharp player too.
-
Yes I think so. And I'm so sad to say goodbye to the 352kbps quality, it's amazing ! Too bad with sony, you can never have all the features on one machine. It's so stupid. At least a HD digital amp for the OLED model, and take out the useless Virtual acoustic. How many of you people use the Dolby and surround effects on the sharp players ? Are they worth ? I don't know if to choose a recorder or a player.
-
Can please someone describe me the sound of the Sharp 1bit amplifier ? I'm selling the NH900 'cause I'm p***** off from the sound that the EQ can deliver and because of the buttons issues. I LOVE the sound of the old Digital MegaBass, deep and clear with also treble sharpness (many will agree on that ?) Now, I can't decide between a Sharp IM-DR400 and a beautiful RH10 that can show me his glow in the darkness (and time pointer!). Nevertheless the least lacks of a HD digital amp. Whereas the 1bit sharp is said to be great sounding and I know has good bass (and today treble adjust too!). Is the quality of the 1bit IM-DR400 same as the new Auvi series(like the MD-DR77) ? I really can't decide, though the design of the RH10 is wonderful and HiMD features. But the EQ leaves to desire so like the introduction of the Sound Preset. Pity because the new codec sounds great and perfect at 352kbps ! To colour the sound is more important for me, so I guess I will go for a sharp, afterall I've had enough disappointement from sony.

Me too I am hoping this !! The buttons issue on my NH900 really wears me out.

Crumbs. A real development would be dedicated buttons. For EQ and Menu access. The "Display" is there though... And of course no dial, it's sony strategy as usual...
-
Type S chip includes the type R.
-
Bah nothing new for me. Still no dedicated EQ access button and the stupid long press button to enter menu. It's so stupid for stupids like us that have to buy sony as there are no HiMD's from sharp !
