Oh my...How the hell shall I load videos into my NWZ-A829
sdfzz_ replied to lxrichbirdxl's question in Audio
if u want to convert a movie, try PSP video 9.. It's free software, and I found it pretty good -
I think if Sony should removes the one-seg and release it to North America with wifi, so that we can watch IP TV, Location Free or youtube..
-
whatever it is, it better be unicode
-
It depends on file format Higher bitrate will comsume more battery Atrac usually comsume less power compare to mp3

Sony WILL Release WMP update for older Walkmans!
sdfzz_ replied to veggiemusician's question in Audio
Thank you for a great news I wonder when they will release the firmwares... I don't think sony will update s700 or a1000...or they should We bought them knowing that they do not support drag and drop or wmp 11.. Also they are sold out in most of the places.. It's good if they do, but they are out of date.. Sony never promised to update them when they were out, and they clearly said that they only support SS. -
I'm also a big fan of atrac, and i didn't have much issue w/ sonicstage at all.. But i have to admit that most of the ppl will be happy drag-and-drop their songs rather than using SS I think sony choose the way to satisfy most of the customers.

thx a a lot aznbro85 I really appreciate it

Hey, thx for a great review.. I see u listening korean songs Can u check one thing for me? I wanna check if it can display the letter 桜 Old walkmans, such as A1000 or e500 supported korean, but not some of Kanjis, such as this one

Petition to sony asking for WMP update firmware for walkman users!
sdfzz_ replied to veggiemusician's question in Audio
I don't think there will be more updates for Sonic Stage, as new walkmans do not support it... But Sony SHOULD NOT leave old walkman owners left in pain Altough I do not think it's possible, I love to see Sony releasing a firmware for old walkmans. I also heard that sony will make PSP media manager usable for walkmans....maybe it can satisfy everyone -
I found JPN reviews of a800 http://plusd.itmedia.co.jp/lifestyle/artic...09/news091.html http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20070309/np001.htm they said -response time is way faster than old A series (a1000/3000) -sound quality is better than S series -cannot play movies made for PSP, but u can encode them to play on A800 -movies made for Ipod can be played on A800 -the screen is good, but viewable angle is limited -searching speed and menu are better than Ipod Looks pretty good to me
-
hmmm Refund hd3, and try a1000/a3000...they have the best sound quality in my opinion..
-
I've been using a1000 for a few months and I never had such a problem yet... I don't think there is anything u can do other than call Sony service center... Hope they can fix it for you...
-
hmm I think u guys are a bit too negative... A lot of ppl around me do not need 8bg players....that's just too much.. I listen around 200 songs, and w/ atrac 64, I can fit them all into my 512mb e400 My cousin is using 256, and that's enough for her... I don't think ppl care about battery life or other functions much either... It seems to me that design is the key, and Sony is doin good on that.. I agree that Sony need to puch forward a bit(put a widescreen before Apple does!), but overall, i think they know what they are doin They are strong in TVs and digital cameras as well as playstaion....
-
AntiPod// that's capacity...i thought the same thing, but that's not the battery life.. well it is thicker than Nano, but it plays video and has better sound quality It looks better than Nano IMO as well..
-
doclloyd// I just noticed that too.... Ascariss//thanks for the info around 27 hrs for music....that's okay i guess....I was hoping for 35 hrs.. 6.5 hrs for video is not bad either... I will get one if it supports lyrics..
