brian10161
There was an episode of CSI where Nick Stokes used an MD player with a speaker in it (I think it was this one: MZ-B10) to play back some recorded telephone conversation. I'll see if I can get a screenshot of it.I just need the episode name

Levanel
Spotted these in an old Chinese film called 'Armour of God II' starring Jackie Chan (also called 'Operation Condor'). They look like floppies but are certainly smaller. I've never seen an MD with a red disc spindle though .. must be one of Sony's I suppose. Levanel
There's a scene in "Transformers" when one of the "section" guys shows NASA footage of the Mars probe being tossed around. The angles are too tight though but it did seem he stuck an MD into a Macbook, from a slot that popped up from the suitcase..----Updated.. It's full metal body and overall sleek look may have been the reason the producers decided to include it in the movie

sfbp
Has anyone previously noticed the reference to a recording device used by Anna in Spooks (MI5) Series 6 Episode 4? Adam says "put the minidisc on top of the cupboard". At about 25 minutes into the episode, just after she stabs the security goon. Judging from: a. the connectors you can see b. where she pushes the record button c. the rounded corners I think this is not any Sony, but perhaps a Sharp MD-MT170. Can someone with that model see enough to confirm?
Azureal
Ok, this is not an MD unit, but it is an NW-HD1 unit. The movie is "Zathura: A Space Adventure" at about 10 - 12 minutes into the movie, the older sister is using the unit to jam with some Bose headphones. The movie is from 2005, probably a couple of years after the unit was released. I have one so I was excited to recognize it in the movie. slugbahr
Josie and the Pussycats (2001) about 5:30 into the movie. One of the 'boy band' members hands a Sony mz-r37 to his manager to listen to. The manager and the pilot then jump out of the plane - leaving it, the band and the MD unit to crash and burn. Was this the true beginning of the end for minidisc???
