Will there be Simple Burner 3.0?

I like using Simple Burner for quick transfer to Hi-MD, but it doesn't have all the bitrates that SS 3.4 does. I would like the next version of SB,if there is one, to have all the bitrates for ATRAC3plus, ATRAC3 and even SP Stereo. Any chance of SB 3.0 coming out?

I for one second this question... I would love a fully able SB with all (HiMD) birtates... I only use SS for uploading my own recordings and I hate the double (euh triple) work of ripping then transfering and then deleting from the library

I'd love to see a SB 3.0 with new bitrates and the "higher" quality ripping option available in SS 3.4. Unfortunately, while SS runs all Sony's MD/flash/HDD players, SB is MD-specific and therefore has a smaller user-base. Sony may not consider it to be worth much effort.

WEll hopefully the new RH1 will ship with new software. maybe someone in this forum will tell us, if they buy one.

That functionality should simply be included in SS, I think.

That's an idea too.

I'd be happy with either really--functionality included in SS or a new version of Simple Burner. If a new SB is released I'd like to see compatibility with all devices too, not just MD.

A lot of people are asking for this, hopefully Sony will do something about it?

I thought it was. When you import a CD using SS, I thought there was an option not only to put it into the Library but also burn straight onto MD (??).

Hmm I'm unsure about MD but you definitely can't do that with an NW unit... I've never seen that option anywhere anyway. In any case you still have to go into the library, right?

That isn't really the point of SB. The point is more that you don't have to put the files in teh Library at all they just go straight to the device (well MD unit, with the SBs we've had so far).

I.e. Instead of having to import to the library and have the files on your PC, you can just "rip" straight to the device and not have to worry about using the library and having files on your PC.
