RH1 carrying case?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a carrying case for the RH1? I used to have this belt case when I had the MZ-N10, before I gave it and the case to a friend of mine:

http://www.minidisco.com/Servired-LC-RN9?s...amp;category=24

I'm wondering if that case would work or if there are other options people have found.

I think I'm going to buy one of those carrying cases for tiny digital cameras.

bye

I like a lot this (Case Logic MDC-2):

http://www.pixmania.com/it/it/39542/art/ca...lkman-md-m.html

since its is big enough to contain a mic, the remote control, the earphones and then there is a space for a blank MD :-))

Nice, not too big, not too small. The only thing against is the place you are going ot buy. Pixmania is not a place I can trust in

regards ;)

Excuse me why?

I did buy a digital camera some years ago without problems...

Because they haven't been serious with a friend of mine. Waiting and waiting and waiting for a solution to his problem and he is still waiting. Would you trust a shop like this if a friend had told you what I had told you?

I have several Caselogic neoprene cases that seem to be an older version of their current "Large Media Player" case:

http://www.caselogic.com/large_media_playe...m?modelid=56456

Just big enough for an RH1 (or MZ-B100) and an extra battery and blank disk. The neoprene provides enough stretch and padding to make for a useful minimal-rig case.

Are these the only options?

I cannot believe there are no other options.... I have been searching and cannot find any decent case (well...let´ssay more fancy or with nicer look ;) ). I am located in Costa Rica, and I´ve been looking into camera bags, however, don´t get what I need.... just a protective case with some space for minidiscs, microphone and not too big... is it to hard to ask? ;)

Any more ideas??... perhaps another type of case (some kind of PDA, camcorder, etc)

I agree. Surely there must be more options!

I seem to recall there being a case called an "Otterbox" that some PDA users were buying. I don't know if they still make them, but they made them in a few different sizes. IIRC the big selling feature was that if you dropped the (closed) case into a swimming pool or other "large body of water", the case would float...

Another option could be a hand-knitted pouch as the one on the photo. It took 10 minutes to my wife to knit this pouch for my MZ-RH910.

Made of wool, it is also very useful to wipe fingerprints on the case of the apparatus... and avoid scratches on its glossy face :(

Keeps feet warm in winter :D

Regards to you all.

Hey Everyone,

I believe the RH1's are so new that nobody has really designed a good case for it yet. I took mine with me this weekend just looking around and stumbled on something that works great for about $10.00 US.

You can see it here http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1099390789255

Yep it's a gameboy sp case, just slip your unit in it and see how well it works, I was pleasently surprised.

Anyway I wish I wasn't at work now I could show you all a picture. It will work for my needs which was to carry on my side / belt, has a pocket that will hold 1 maybe 2 extra disk. has a velcro strap to keep the wires nice and neat on the inside and carrys my mics and the remote, although they are clamped on the outside flaps they are out of the way. The remote is actually easy to reach oh and the pc / charge port is accessible as well.

The mics point away from each other and I bet they may actually work well their for basic recording needs.

I had to mod it a little with a knife to allow access to the line / mic / remote. It was quick and easy.

I needed something to use this weekend and I believe this will work for the time being. I thought I would share with everyone until something better comes along. If your still interested I'll post some picts later this eveing.

I have a case the same size as that CaseLogic, and while it is fine for units the size of a 900, it's too tight for the RH1: the play/record/jog-switch bump protrudes just enough to make it hard to zip around the corners. Even with it closed up, I'd want make sure the Hold switch was engaged to prevent unwanted activity. I still prefer something like the oblong MPC-3 neoprene case--more wiggle room and less chance of unintended button-pressing.

  • 1 year later...

Hello! (my first time here...) :)

Sorry for digging up a year old topic, but I didn't really want to start a new one. I just got a case designed for NetMD players from ebay Uk for £4.49 including postage here.

It's a little tight but it works great. It opens and closes with a velcro strap and has a clip to attach to a belt. There is a hole down the side where both the headphone and microphone port are accessible and its easy to open the pouch and look down at recording levels from the main unit (as long as you can see the display). The recording level dial is slightly raised from the pouch so it is also easy to adjust levels.

The seller was also very impressive,- I ordered it in the morning and recieved it the very next day. I can post pictures at some point if people are interested.
