viiv
Ok here is my problem. I brought an MD deck for my stereo system. But I dont want to put it beside the stereo because then alsmost all the space on my dresser is GONE. So I want to put the deck UNDER the stereo and elevate the stereo above the surface to do so. But now I need to find an ELEGANT stand to do so tht will be able to take the weight of the stereo. Not ugly black plastic or something. More like wood or glass with silver legs or something. Anyone know where I can get something like this?[attachmentid=1944] Edited August 12, 2006 by richyhu
Skradgee
I checked a few places and couldn't really find anything that was wood. I've seen things like plastic monitor stands/risers for desks, but those probably aren't wide enough and plastic is not what you're looking for. A search for "small wood table" didn't really bring up anything good either. Continue the search. Are there any yardsales going on where you live? Maybe you could find something second-hand like that.
jaylen
If you have access to one, try IKEA. They've got a lot of contemporary furniture and house/storage things as well as "Make Your Own" furniture kits (you buy the table tops, legs, drawers, etc, separately) that involve minimal handyman skill. Their prices are pretty affordable, too. They've got a website, but a lot of it isn't available for online purchase.Maybe your title should read, "My Dresser Is Too Small" instead. Good luck! mercury_in_flames
all you need is a little cabinet. One thats wide enough for the micro system on top, and wide enough for you to put the deck inside, then you just drill a few holes in the back for the decks wires. You could always just get a bigger desk?
Richard
* Moved to Off-Topic [Electronics + etc](not becuase it is completely off-topic but because this discussion is not only applicable to NetMD / MDLP, but potentially for any deck, MD or other). Note: if its quite deep don't just use 6 screws.. lol[attachmentid=1945][attachmentid=1945][attachmentid=1945] Edited August 12, 2006 by danielbb90

If you cannot cut the pieces yourself you can have someone at the hardware store precut everything and you just put it together.
