A440
A lot of people looking for MD, NetMD, Hi-MD, etc., aren't quite sure of what model they want or how much to expect to pay for it, so they may not know what to ask you for.A better way to do this might be to do an occasional, when-you-feel-like-it list of what you saw on your visits and what Hardoff wants for it. Then you might get some PMs. And if you see any good mics that are compatible with MD, you might mention those too....

Sparky191
Theres a lot of lurkers on MiniDisc.org...
Levanel
I'm still around. Don't be impatient.. I'm sure alot of lurkers come around to specific technical specifications of what they seek. As for me, I'll probably be in need of your services soon, as there just isn't anything related to minidiscs in America anymore. (or maybe I'm just not looking at the right import places)I'm sure whatever Sony or other Minidisc manufacturers produce or prototype ends up exclusively in Akihabara, and that'll justify the curiousity of MDers and the legacy of the technology more. Who knows.. maybe Hi-MD may become DRM-free in the future? Edited October 31, 2007 by Levanel

Sparky191
You replied to this thread yourself. If you didn't want further posts on the thread get a mod to lock it. Though I think replies of any kind bump the post and it will then appear in "view new posts". Which is where I saw it. Otherwise it will go off the radar. Perhaps people would be interested if you posted up some decent pictures of the stuff you got. That animated photo thingy is too small. But I'm not interested in legacy MD stuff, so maybe I'm the wrong person to suggest anything. I'd only be interested in cheap HiMD gear. Sparky191
The animated Photo "thingy has a link directly to the pics so you can see them full size ( just look bottom left of the screen ) Klik the link , you have the pics. And by the way Sparky , since you wish to be a Smartass , dont bother asking me to get anything for you ...Did I miss something? Its not working for me, and theres no info in the original post to indicate you need to click on them. (firewall?), no matter. I was only giving you the decency of a response. Since you bumped this thread looking for a reply. I didn't expect in replying to your questions, and offering suggestions, when no one else has, to result in being insulted. Nice. Pity because I was interested in HiMD and Guitar stuff, I can't get here. Guess I'll have to struggle with ishibashi. Good luck with it anywayz. Sparky191
Duly noted and edited , Your reply was antagonistic, sarcastic , and insulting yourself ( " You replied to your own post " ) so if you wish to play that way , lets at least be clear where it starts . Sparky I had no probs with you , I instituted this as a service for the MD community , and stipulated that I really wouldn't put up with any crap in my doing it . If your that unappreciative of others actions then dont come to my spot .Ishibashi just tried to charge me 500 dollars for something that is 68 dollars dealer cost , I actually have the invoices . So your welcome to them .Its not your spot its an open forum. The solution to that is if you don't want replies (and don't want me to reply) you get a mod to lock the thread and make it a sticky. Not tell people not to post. Thats unworkable. Theres no personal comments in what I said at all. I just pointed out that you posted a reply, which brought the thread to our attention, which in turn prompted others to post in response. I was simply stating the sequence of events. I don't see how that is "antagonistic, sarcastic , and insulting". The facts speak for themselves. You got a reply in 11 mins of your reply bumping the thread. Cause and effect. You caused people to reply as they did. Apologies if you took offense, but I'm abit baffled why you did tbh. BIGHMW
When the market runs dry , there will be MD's here , and they will be in Hardoff . One of the units I bought today was a 1998 Sony MZ-E33 that has never been used , Never had a battery in it , the original twisty ties on everything untouched .But You dont like legacy stuff , plenty here do .You bet, man.I myself enjoy legacy players and recorders, the only time I use Hi-MD (MZ-NH600D/700/RH710/RH1) is for uploading/downloading (of legacy formats to my PC and also for extended playback). but yes, even 10 years later after first getting into MD, I do continue to use the legacy formats, as live on-field recorders (MZ-R70 and MZ-E33), as well as at home (MDS-JE520, MXD-D3, and MDS-JE480), in the car (MDX-C5970 and MDX-65), and of course, in HMW Studio One, my home project studio (MDS-E10). Strungup
this guy from japan sounds like a real ass to me! i have been reading this board for 6 years everyone always seems so friendly except for this guy!Ok , lets see , I spend my time , train fair , research , pictures , negotiation with each store to hold items , Check through each peice of equipment to be able to note what problems exist so that no one gets any unwelcome suprises , Upload ,title , and present , just for the sake of the benefit of the MDCF , ask that I not be hassled in any way , because of what I am doing and Why I am doing it . And I am an ass .............? Ok , ......hm .......... I really like your reasoning . There are 23 Locations of this store in the area ,and I intended to visit all of them and to Put a great amount of time and effort to salvage what will remain of MD's both Legacy and HiMD I had 47 PM's about people wanting stuff from Hardoff , and decided to put out my time for community involvement .............. What have you Done???? Rule #3 in the first post ... Get Cracky , Uppity , snooty , Jerky , Nasty , Smartassy , whatever you want to call it , I back off . I feel that if I am willing to make that kind of effort to help the people on this forum , then a simple amount of cooperation , and respect is deserved. If you dont feel that way , then I am wasting my time.
