efenili
Thought if people wanted to see prices and places that we could put together a list of places you can Pre-Order your Hi-MD products. Feel Free to add at will. Froogle [just input the model name of the unit you want and then make sure it displays the lowest price first] Log2Shop OneCall J&R DataVision Buy Rite MiniDisco MiniDisc Canada Avland Planet MiniDisc AAAPrice Electronics Sound Professionals Thats all I got for now. Please add when you can. I figure everyone should be able to see the features of all the etailers.
Christopher
Thank you for making this list, it will be quite helpful to those who are interested. I'll go ahead and make it a sticky for a while, too.

psych
in the uk (well technically...) www.pixmania.com have by far the best price for the MZ-H1... £190! http://www.pixmania.com/uk/uk/45240/art/so...yer_mz_nh1.html not in stock till 31/05/2004 though, but from what i unerstand, that seems to be the case with pretty much everyone. best of all if you live in london, you can go to their pickup store, next day, and extended hours, to collect your goods unfortunately, they don't seem to be stocking any of the other products in the range... maybe a few emails could persuade them? Qwakrz
Pixmania no longer seem to be listing the NH1 on their website, however Amazon uk is listing it as a pre-orderable item for £224.99 inc VAT. I am SO tempted to get one & a few spare cells for use on the road. -Edit- Temptation took the better of me, just placed an order for the NH1 and recieved an estimated delivery date of 7th August Oh well I guess Ill have to wait till then
doclloyd
For those interested and not on minidisco.com's mailing list, they are running a father's day special with discounts up to $20 off on orders of $200 or more. I just saved $20 on pre-ordering the NH900. Use the code "MYFATHER" during the order process. Make sure to hit the "apply" button on that page to use the coupon. Brought my total order to $267.54 with shipping ($259.95 after coupon, pre-shipping total). Any way to save money, right? Hope this helps people out there. DO NOTE: This only lasts thru JUNE 20TH. So, if you've been on the fence for pre-ordering, now's the chance to save a few bucks. :-) Oh, and of course minidisco does not charge your card until the item ships... highlandsun
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else, but the MZNH1 is now available on the US SonyStyle web site. I guess that means it should be in stock at other places as well.
Christopher
Good call, highlandsun. I suggest people try froogle.google.com and input their model number of choice to see the large list of e-tailers with Hi-MD units available for order. doclloyd
Interesting... I added the NH900 to a cart just to see what would happen.. "shipping date not available." Doh... but this should be a good sign, right?

tikky
Amazon is having some promotion where if you spend $250 in electronics you get a $50 promotional certificate. THe 900 is currently 299 with free shipping, and then a few weeks later you get a $50 promotional certificate to spend. I think if enough people go to the page the 900 is on and fill out the "did you find this item cheaper elsewhere please tell us" form then maybe we could get an even better deal. Buyrite for 259 is looking best. If it came down to 259 or close plus free shipping and the promo certificate...yikes. good luck
gaomi
NeutronExpress.com seems to have the cheapest price for the SONY MZ-NHF800: 231.22 (shipping included). http://www.neutronexpress.com/prod.cfm/291...PORTABLE_PLAYER Has anyone ever ordered from this company? DrZhivago
If you pre-order MZNH1 or MZNH900 from SonyCentral Australia, you will receive bonus ECMDS70P unidirectional microphone (valued @ 150AUD) and carry pouch. Cheers
ekiekitabaang
As an august Loyal Customer benefits Finnish department store Stockmann is offering Sony Hi-MD MZ-NH900 (Price: 310 Euros) It was not available Saturday, but now they sent a message that the item has arrived and is available. They said that Hi-MD discs are not arrived yet though.
HKS
Warehouse123.com sells the MZ-NH1 for $395. World Model and Imported Japanese Version are available. You guy know what's the different between these Two?
Ipaqman
BestBuy is now shipping the MZ-NH1. Mine should arrive on Tuesday. The price at BestBuy is $349.99 with free shipping plus tax. I chose them over the cheaper online sites because of the return policy (local return) and the option to get an extended warranty. The price (less than list price) made my decision. With the price difference (700 - NH1) down to $100, it was worth it to get the necessary date-time stamp, the docking station, and the magnesium construction. I did not like not having an extra battery option (except buying more Li-ion batteries), but I do have a portable 5 volt USB powering battery case which hopefully will work with the NH1. Christopher
I'm going to go ahead and unsticky this topic as the number of sites that have Hi-MD units for sale are quite abundant and easily findable through the aforementioned sites, your local electronics retailer, eBay, froogle + more. Feel free to keep replying, nonetheless.
