in the uk (well technically...) www.pixmania.com have by far the best price for the MZ-H1... £190!

http://www.pixmania.com/uk/uk/45240/art/so...yer_mz_nh1.html

not in stock till 31/05/2004 though, but from what i unerstand, that seems to be the case with pretty much everyone.

best of all if you live in london, you can go to their pickup store, next day, and extended hours, to collect your goods smile.gif

unfortunately, they don't seem to be stocking any of the other products in the range... maybe a few emails could persuade them?

So you didn't get a refund!? Their customer service seems good.

Pixmania no longer seem to be listing the NH1 on their website, however Amazon uk is listing it as a pre-orderable item for £224.99 inc VAT.

I am SO tempted to get one & a few spare cells for use on the road.

-Edit-

Temptation took the better of me, just placed an order for the NH1 and recieved an estimated delivery date of 7th August  Oh well I guess Ill have to wait till then

For those interested and not on minidisco.com's mailing list, they are running a father's day special with discounts up to $20 off on orders of $200 or more. I just saved $20 on pre-ordering the NH900. Use the code "MYFATHER" during the order process. Make sure to hit the "apply" button on that page to use the coupon. Brought my total order to $267.54 with shipping ($259.95 after coupon, pre-shipping total). Any way to save money, right? Hope this helps people out there.

DO NOTE: This only lasts thru JUNE 20TH. So, if you've been on the fence for pre-ordering, now's the chance to save a few bucks. :-) Oh, and of course minidisco does not charge your card until the item ships...

Amazon is having some promotion where if you spend $250 in electronics you get a $50 promotional certificate. THe 900 is currently 299 with free shipping, and then a few weeks later you get a $50 promotional certificate to spend. I think if enough people go to the page the 900 is on and fill out the "did you find this item cheaper elsewhere please tell us" form then maybe we could get an even better deal. Buyrite for 259 is looking best. If it came down to 259 or close plus free shipping and the promo certificate...yikes.

good luck

BestBuy is now shipping the MZ-NH1. Mine should arrive on Tuesday. The price at BestBuy is $349.99 with free shipping plus tax. I chose them over the cheaper online sites because of the return policy (local return) and the option to get an extended warranty.

The price (less than list price) made my decision. With the price difference (700 - NH1) down to $100, it was worth it to get the necessary date-time stamp, the docking station, and the magnesium construction. I did not like not having an extra battery option (except buying more Li-ion batteries), but I do have a portable 5 volt USB powering battery case which hopefully will work with the NH1.
