Nice. I wish they would have put the hold button on the front or side of the unit. I have to take the unit out of it's case to switch it on & off. Is yours black?

Don't really use it for video. Strictly music. I'm due to go to New York in the autumn, and if Sony US release it by then, I may pick one up, and hopefully if the dollor/pound ratio stays the same, I may even save some money in the process

I, unlike others on here, have had no difficulities with regard to sound. I thought about upgrading, but didn't bother. I have used the case attached to my trousers, in the rush hour here in London, with no problems. My only gripe would be that I regret not getting a 8 Gig, but at nearly 200 GBP, was a little bit out of my price range. All-in-all this little baby has enhanced my music collection, no end

Funny that Canada has it, but not the US. I thought the US market was important to Sony. Or have they assumed that their all Ipod crazy?

Hi to my North American cousins I'm due to travel in NYC in the fall, and was wondering IF the A800 series had arrived in the US as yet? I know, from threads on here that Canada has it, but not sure about the US? If so, how much is it going for? Many Thanks

Doesn't really surprise me, as most of the world is Ipod focussed. You should/could have let him listen to both & educate him

In the interest of fairness I would say that the answer depends on what's important to you. I brought the A806, when I could have got an Ipod Nano much cheaper, and if cost is important to you, I'd say go for the Nano. But,if Sound quality is important to you, shell out the extra for the A806. What ever you choose, I hope you enjoy

I would get an estimate of the cost of a repair, and if it's more than the units worth, I'd consider getting the NW-A800 series.

I've got the Black A806, but I think the blue one looks nice as well.

@STAN*STAN Is this a good CD? I liked Patience, but not sure if I should buy the CD.

I would agree with you there. The thing is that alot of people do not like SS, and the word has spread. I, like many others, do not have a problem using SS, and I quite like it. The key word is patience. Yes Itunes is a better software package, let down by poor SQ of Ipods in general, whilst SS is Ok, but backed up by superior SQ of most Sony products. I plan to put a review up on Amazon.co.uk, and as was mentioned above, would ask others to do so as well.
