I picked up an A808 yesterday together with the AC-MWUM50 and can confirm the ac adaptor charges the unit fine via the WM port.

As far as I was aware I thought the NC022 are the "bundled" version of the NC22 (minus the control box) that come with NW-Sx series. They are noise-cancelling, (hence the NC in the model number) and the EX082 were the bundled version of the EX85's that come with the NW-A80x series. These are not noise-cancelling.

Just remove the battery and you should exit service mode. If you actually changed any of the options whilst in service mode, you would have to change the values back again manually.

Just watched Apocalypto on DVD. Not too bad at all, and nowhere near as gory as some people might have said it is.

Alas neither of the 2 above options are possible. Pre-HI-MD units will not play Hi-MD discs. Only WAV & MP3 can be downloaded from the MAC to Hi-MD. Sorry to break the bad news.

We wouldn't want to prevent users from upgrading to Vista for fear they couldn't convert their recordings to WAV lol PS: what is that? a scientology convention turned nasty? No, but the WAV Conversion tool as a separate utility became obsolete around version 3.4 or earlier when the ability to upload tracks as WAV was added to the core SS application. Only the WAV conversion tool in itself (which as I say is obsolete) is not compatible with Vista and not SS as a whole. David, are you talking about the WAV Conversion Tool? If so that functionality is now part of the core SS application and with SS 4.3 is supported on Vista.

Yes you can try this: I would try downloading and (re)-installing (making sure SS is not open during the install): 1/ MDAC 2.8 SP1 - from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en 2/ Jet 4.0 SP8 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en if you are using Windows XP or from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en if you are on Windows 2000. Then re-booting.

I tend to agree. The fact it has been removed from the Sony Style US website is not really significant of one thing or another. It was never even for sale on the SonyStyle EU website to begin with (or if it was it has been missing for months)
