You can grab your music with ml_sony too... with some luck winamp will work on vista
-
Try to create an OMGAUDIO directory and create an empty file named "04CNTINF.DAT" in it. Then start winamp Or : Just copy the decodeKey somewhere, keep it safe it will always be the same key for that player, (you can just copy your GYM directory it should not be very big) you can then format, recopy your keycode, and start again. The "System 32 Error" is probably an unrecognize format or id3 tag causing failure during the transfert. If you can Isolate which file is causing problem, please send it to me.
-
If mp3fm crashes then the keycode is probably not valid, try GYM key wizard, follow the steps in the faq, then it should work good luck
-
Hell fire : if you see the music on your player's menu but can't play, it's a key code problem as you said the MP3FM/DVId.dat might be the problem. Did you install mp3fm correctly? was it working? Make you sure you DONT have a "nocode.txt" in your OMGAUDIO directory. read the faq again, or this thread. If it's still doesn't work, I suggest you try to create a keycode using GYM software.

Hello, Those are not supported yet, Yes they are encoded in dat files Top 100 Play History and year ordering I will probably implement, For artist link it will probably be problematic since I have no info in winamp to build the links, The dat files should not be a problem though... If you guys have any idea on how to link artists (without doing a big random ^^) let me know!
-
please see the faq in this forum section, all the info are there! (note: AM-NX9 probably don't need a key code)
-
Hello Everyone, Yes this is still under development, At this point I am creating a seperate c++ library that coders will be able to use to create their own plugins easily. Good point about the bad characters. If you guys have the time to send me a track tag that is causing problem it would save me a lot of time! Regards!

hello Bergmarmmot, Sorry I did not see your post, has I was only watching the ml_sony thread. I am working on the new version of ml_sony but It will be a moment until I can add this feature, You are welcome to implement it! the source code is on svn in source forge. The trick for this is to decode the OMA file while playing it. decoding is easy if you have the correct keycode. but I have no idea on how to do this while playing... you probably have to create some kind of input plugin for winamp to stream the file and decode it at the same time. so if you are willing to help you could start by that! See if you can find some info on input plugin and how to stream the file! Let me know if you find some good info! As you said it will save us some time ^^

cristal clear ^-^ I will see what I can do when remodeling the winamp gui

Hello Andrew, No currently playlist support is very limited you can only transfert a playlist, and ml_sony checks if the songs are already present. When you remove a song from the device the playlist is also updated. Nothing else... But since I am currently developping the new version (yes I am actually working on this ^-^) I am willing to take requests. Post a clear explanation in this topic, and I will see what I can do if there is enough people in need of this feature. BR

geezawolf : There is an apply button on the screenshot you made... So, go to your localmedia right click on the album/song you want to send, send to->j:sony walkman , once you are done adding songs, go to your device->sony walkman, click on the apply button, the tracks should be sending to your devices, Please read carefully the FAQ there is everything you need there
-
Hello everyone, Erica : do as Auke told you to restore your database, then check your key, it's probably the reason why you can't play the song but have a correct database Kouphax; I have 5.33 I don' t have any problem so far, thx for reporting though
-
Sorry, Please make capture of the device->j:sony walkman page, not one of your playlist!
-
Sorry could you Add some mp3 from the media list select j:sony walkman and retake a screenshoot thx
-
Hey geezawolf, still having trouble? if so, do you have the full version of winamp or just the light one? could you make a screen shot of your media library
-
Sidewalker : sounds like your keycode is not correct, check the faq and make sure you have a correct keycode. folser: same advice as Srazash, check the plugin is in the right directory, you should get a "sony walkman" in the device menu, (so you should do "send to->x:sony walkman") please read the faq&read me carefully before posting

I have updated to latest version of winamp and the plugin still works
-
What version of winamp are you using? I have not updated mine for a while, maybe the plugin is not compatible with the latest version... Also you might want to try from a fresh database (not one created by sonicstage or connectplayer) please see the faq on how to do that safely.
-
The development is slowed because I have too much work this month, I haven t started the new winamp GUI yet I am concentrating on the library part, so all the functionnalilties like playing playlist adding from interface etc... are secondary yet Don t expect any new version soon
-
Yes the only risks is losing the tracks on your player, the disadvantages are : still bugged, artist link, new features of connect are not working
-
Hello everyone, sorry christmas time is busy busy busy! Krillz: "Playing from the device" feature is not implemented yet! It works "by luck" on unprotected players (the new ones), but the headers are not correct so don't count on filename etc atm... imhambone: 1- I advice you NOT to convert your music to atrac file format. 2- ml_sony is not compatible with other software like sonicstage or connect player, the only way you will be able to use it is by starting on a freshly formatted device and follow the faq on this forum 3- I got my 2 sony player as presents and I would not recommend them over an ipod. Sadly, The simple solution is indeed to bring it back to exchange it for an ipod... Anyway I am still working on this, (not at the speed that I would like) don't expect any new release soon (probably around march 2007) Thank you
-
1- Right click on a playlist in winamp and send->yourdevice 2- Drop a m3u playlist from the explorer to ml_sony, but I remember that I had some troubles too with playlists from time to time

Ok keep posting the bugs! ^^ I started writing the new version of Sonydb (it's the library used by ml_sony) I really need to separate ml_sony from Sonydb so that, if someone else want to write an app it will be more easy to use it. Unfortunatly it will take some time So please be patient! If anybody knows how to make plugins for winamp he/she would be welcome to help to create the new ml_sony version. (this is just gui development but it takes time!) Thank you for the support

WHoooo, good feedback! I will correct that very soon, thank you very much for finding this bug!
