Hello, Yes I know the plugin doesn't manage the player's names. You can only differentiate them with the drive letter... It's in the todo list Sorry I am very busy at the moment I don't have the time to work on this ;-( thanks for the support!

Hello Sione, You can only use mp3 files with ml_sony. when transferring a file from ml_sony there is a status indication on the left of the apply button, check that it says "all done" before unplugging :-) seeya

Hello, Have you tried with different songs? some songs are not compatible and will fail transfer (because of bitrate or invalid tags), also you can check c:\Debug_ml_sony.log to try to understand what's going on let us know!

Hello, Sorry for the late reply, Just put any blank file named 04CNTINF.DAT, the nocode.txt file, and you should be fine. I am sure it will work, I have the same player :-)

Hello Markd I think it should work, However you won't have any support for image, album link (any of CP feature) if I had to buy a walkman, personally I would buy an ipod ;-) sony's software is just too lame Does someone have this player? could you make a report please? Thank you for your help!

Hello Javi, Sorry I did not quite understand your problem, You have formatted your device? (what is opciotn HD?) and want to recreate the database file? if you did, you just have to plug your device in any software, sonicstage, connect player or ml_sony. transfert some songs, and you should be ok... see ya

Yes I got several test results :-) Thank you all for sending them, thanks to that, I was able to find the problem Another good news, Someone is joining the development and he will release a corrected version of ml_sony compatible with winamp 5.35 very soon. Hello I don't understand this problem When you have that problem could send me the 04CNTINF.DAT file when it's still small, Also please send me the log files in c:\log.txt Garth what do you mean you replace the folder? What this program is actually suppose to do : -find an OMGAUDIO directory, -then scan every OMA file you have in it. -read all the ID3 tags, -try to read the playlist, -Create a database in my own format to avoid doing that everytime, -Try to write the database again in sony format -send a usb request to get your keycode -save everything in the log directory you created. (nothing is modified on your device) Thank you!

Hello morj, The database is probably corrupted, the songs are there, it's just the db. I suggest you try libtester v2 to try to recreate the DB more details here : db corruption please let me know if it worked! thx

Hello Buggy, I am always interested in files that are not working could you please check : the bitrate of the song that are not working, if they are VBR or CBR and finally the tags, are they ID3 V1 or V2, any image embedded, any special chars in the names? Please take a little time to do it, it will help everyone :-) thank you!

Thx for the support :-) For those who wonders : you need a svn client like tortoise svn to get the code from souceforge, and you need Visual studio to compile (I am using 2005), use the project named "Test" as it shows example of use of the SonyDb library hope you guys will start developping GUI or help to improve the library code!

Hello manxian, Apparently the plugin stopped working after v5.33, I am not sure of the problem but I am thinking it has something to do with the GUI and the new winamp SDK, if you are a developper you are welcome to take a look at the code on source forge, you should look to modify ml_sony/view_sony.cpp It should not be very difficult, it's just that I don't have the time to work on anything else than the new library version. Cool, thank you for this recap :-) the transfert info you are looking for should be displayed on the left of the Apply button, only it will disappear if you change the current page, Also you can keep enqueing songs even if you have started transferring, Stay in touch for the next version!

Hello and welcome, First thank you for reporting your tests with this new device, if it is indeed a compatibility problem I want to try to resolve it asap. But first let's see if it is not something else So you say you can see your songs on the device with ml_sony, and can not add more tracks? why not? what is the problem exactly? please be more specific also have you checked those post? problems finally what version of winamp are you using? Hello, Yes it's an old bug in ml_sony, I have fixed it in the new library, and I created a small program to recover corrupted database but it is still in early development, here is what you can try : read this : libtesterv2 try the program, if it works, (writting sony database must not fail) you should get all the files needed in the "log directory". !!MAKE a backup first!! in your OMGAUDIO directory copy all the files (not directories) and save them in a safe place now copy all the files in the "log directory" to the OMGAUDIO directory. unplug your drive and check if it works... (it may freeze after start, it is normal it will take sometime to read all your db, just let it work) let me know how it goes! thx
