  1. I'm jealous....I should get rid of my VP and buy the model you have.
  2. Broke down and purchased a battery online. Cost $51.54. For those interested, I found it here
  3. don't tell me your suprised your expectations were not met ??
  4. HEH HEH, I was just gonna reply to say VB setting is on.
  5. Sorry I was confused about the release of 4.0. When is it being released? Also when will the modified JAP version for US be made?
  6. Why don't you copy all your data for a backup onto your laptop, then reinitialize on your new comp I would beleive doing so will not erase your DAP. Worse come to worst, you could just start from sq one and put the backup in
  7. How are those pics coming? I would really like to see what it looks like up close
  8. If I am correct, re-initialization will not erase data. Can anyone else confirm this too? PS - Do you have GYM installed?
  9. No you will not. Just wait for the 4.0 modded version to be posted here. Otherwise get the 3.4 one
  10. I disagree. njnero, please doa search of the forum, someone else has raised this question. Also do a search on google
  11. Best to go with the JAP version. Ishi has always suggested using this version, due to being the least problematic when using your DAP (i.e. The infamous SS can't play errors). I believe I had installed 3.4 JAP version that was modified. Do a search in this forum or the downloads section for more info.
  12. The problem I have is due to my artists labeled as MINISTRY OF SOUND and VARIOUS ARTISTS. Ministry of Sound is quite possibly the largest collection of music I have, which can be considered to be in several genres: CHILL, DANCE, HOUSE, DISCO, CLUB. Because of this when I select a genre, for example CHILL, gives me the artists that are associated with the particular genre. Once I pick the artist MINISTRY OF SOUND, I get all their albums which also include the ones that have been labeled as DANCE, HOUSE, DISCO, CLUB. The same goes with my VARIOUS ARTISTS. I have ablums organized under SOUNDTRACKS, DANCE, VIDEO GAME. Searching under SOUNDTRACKS and selecting VARIOUS ARTISTS gives me all albums associated with the VARIOUS ARTISTS. Does this make more sense for you? To resolve this I know I could label the genre/album to something like MINISTRY OF SOUND - CHILL to better orangize, but this is just crazy. That would be like organizing and being anal to the 100th power!! ...and I am not about to does this for over 2 dozen albums, track by track. Info on the Ministry of Sound series
  13. It would be great to have this, but I don't even know how this could be accomplished in relation to a DAP unit.
  14. Ironic is it not? ... Apple fans posting and surfing a Sony forum LOL
  15. Alright boys and girls, I got a bone to pick and it bugs the hell out of me. So you organize all your tracks...by genre...by artist...by album blah blah blah You have a gagillion tracks all organized and your ready to listen on the go. You do a search via genre and you decide to go with CHILL. You select the genre and your get all your artists. You got telepopmusik, you got yout Jack Johnson, you got your Ministry of Sound, You select Ministry of Sound to get to your albums.... WELL what comes up??? ALL tracks with artist Ministry of Sound. Not only just the CHILL albums, but you get your HOUSE albums, you get your DANCE albums.....IT SO ANNOYING! Anyway I just wanted to vent out. Thanks for listening to me rant.
  16. My 8-bit Nintendo graphics blow the 360 and PS3 out of the water!!
  17. FYI, When number tracks be sure to number as 01, 02, 03..... not 1, 2, 3, .... 10, 11, 12...20, 21... <-----Your DAP will read as 10, 11, 12, ....1, 20, 21 ....3
  18. One can hope...........but I wouldn't hold your breath
  19. That is what I do on my player. I have 500 albums where 1/2 of them are double cds sets. (Ministry of Sound series) You could also add track #s in your track titles and carrying on the corresponding number for CD2 from CD1.
  20. Hmmm.... - Don't know what version of SS you got, but upgrading would most likely not make a difference. Worth a try. - Don't know how many songs you have on it, but it best to wipe and start new and fresh. I have done this a few times and yes it is cumbersome. What I have done now is archive all my MP3s (tagged of course) on DVDs so if ever I need to restore, all I have to do is just copy from my DVD to my comp back to DAP. It's a dicipline you should learn. - (WARNING: BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FILES ON YOUR DAP FIRST!) Check your file dates on your DAP. If any have some bogus date (i.e. 2001 or something) erase them. Your database could be corrupt and erasing them and unplugging from comp could re-gen your database...If this does not you could always copy the files back - Are the bit rates all the same for all trackes? I have an issue where I cannot upload 44kbps or 60kbps tracks...most likely anything under 128 won't go I bet, but I haven't tested.
  21. Wow, are you saying you still use your DAP with a bad HDD ? Why not get repaired or replaced under warranty. You could also purchase a new HDD
  22. Hopefully you loaded GYM software on made keys prior to all of this. If not your S.O.L.
  23. I would check out minidisc.org or even better forums.minidisc.org Other than that, I would do a search on google
