It does sound like dual mono, but it still works. Good sounding song on the comp dont here many that are dual stereo

Well i bought the S618 and its great and have ordered the dock of ebay lets hope it works. Got the dock today so far so good, might write a review of the S618 soon for all the people who might want to buy it

The black thing is for the optional dock and i think you should be able to find it on ebay or maybe even pdair or another case company

Unfortunately not. To get line out you either need bluetooth or the BCR-NWU3 dock

Same internals so same sounds, just ditch the bundled earphones and get some good ones and it will sound just as good

Look at the other thread, canada isnt getting the 8GB A810 the largest is the 6GB dont ask me why. May i ask what is wrong with the S618

As for language support it supports 10 Languages from German to Korean, i would assume this would be the same for the A818, it might be regional though. As in Australia they offer ten languages, but where you live they might not

Same sound quality but better earphones with the A818 They do not use SonicStage, they use Drag N Drop and syncs well with Windows Media Player but should work with any OS. I prefer the S610 for the FM radio but ppl like the looks of the A818 better its a personal preference The A818 has 2inch while the S618 is only 1.8 screen

You can use auto playlists from WMP But not sure how to copy the playlists as it just copies the songs you might have to drag n drop the playlist

I know australia is a diffrent market but it might be the same for canada, sony said no more A800's are being shipped out and the next shipment of players will all be the NWZ. So you might be out of luck if you want ATRAC

It was from sony central. In melbourne, i hope i havent wasted my money on the BT as it doesnt work with the computer just hope it works with the BT earphones. I think they might end up costing $289 but i haggled them down even further I have had no problems with it but it isnt that fastest usb drive iv used

I finally got it, i gave in. Was a pretty good deal $280 AUD for the 8GB one and free leather case, lanyard, and screen protector. Just loading songs on now. I also got the BT Adapter for $100

I should be getting the S618 soon so i can report on it, but dont expect a big report with pictures it will mearly be an overview and q&a if requested

I want to use my own earphones the bh500 allows me to make my own earphones bluetooth and i can pair my phone and the sony to it. I am going to be buying the bluetooth locally so i will have a waranty for that so i hope it works. Still not making a decision for two weeks. What i basicly want is be able to control the player from in my pocket as it doesnt come with a remote that is what the bh500 will be for. I currently have a HD5 and am contemplating moving to the s618, do you think the move is worth it

I think ebay is going to be cheaper, so can people please tell me if the bluetooth works with controls on earphones the play pause controls

My question about the bluetooth was a diffrent one should have specified, does it work with AVRCP i want to use a bluetooth remote and want to know if that would work.

So i am thinking of getting the NWZ S618 soon as it has the fm radio and small, but i want to get the dock for it so it has the AC Adapter and connect it to my stero. I dont know where to get the BCR-NWU3 from the if i buy it off ebay will it work in Australia, also how come the Sony US site has a diffrent picture then the UK one. Does anyone have the WLANWB1 as i want to get that and then use bluetooth earphones is it good for that and do the FF \ RW V-+ work if you use it with bluetooth earphones Can someone suggest a good bluetoth remote with 3.5mm jack i was going to go with the Motorola S705 SoundPilot but it has to many flaws, wanted it for the track name but its not even bluetooth 2.0 Would really appricate your replies.

Yeh its the Drag n drop version, i just wish the 8gb was a little bit cheaper because AC adapter is another $50 it all ads up. Is it worth getting the BCR dock as i might by it off ebay but its expensive. Also the sony guy said the bluetoth was not AVRCP only sends can some one shed light on this as i want to use a bluetooth remote with it.
