  1. The radio is contained within the remote, but if im not mistaken it is only works in the G750.
  2. Tried, its no use. Sony can't program a reliable & clean software to save their own life. My only hope now is an older manual build. Iil have to find a download link. EDIT : For now, i am meeting success with SS2.0 europe edition, i think something is wrong with the US installer or that europe one actually installs everything without scanning for componets first.
  3. My installation was destroyed. It said that it failed to download SS2.1, so i proceeded to remove SS2.0 with all its componets hoping this might resolve the issue. It didnt. Now im stuck with no SonicStage. BTW: SS2.1 installation thinks i got the openMG secure model still installed even though i do not.
  4. Why do i get the impression that this thing is CPU hungry?
  5. I recieved ferrit cores on my N1's DC cord. However i removed it when i got the unit and never used it again. The units are working fine with the DC in & all... But the adapter im using is the one which i got with my european R90, the N707 & N1 are from the USA. That adaptor did not arrive with an FC so im guessing its not needed for european adaptors?

    Sony N1 or R909

For the love of god (yea right), dont ever get the N1!
  7. A track mark will only be placed if the soundcard is given a command to send it, or when there are 2 sec or more of silence. I dont know of any way to send the signal to the card (I got a fortissimo II), but for the latter you can use winque. I dont remember the URL and i cant seem to find it through a fast search.

    More Delays

My guess is, they might want to ship them with the wave software, so that is why they delayed.
  9. What model do you have? It might be able to do a LINE OUT, which is much better than a pumped up headphone out.
  10. Motor noise shouldnt be there in LINE recordings, it can be with MIC recordings.
  11. 1. Yes 2. Yes, recording is in real-time. Your MD unit is not NetMD compatible, you cannot connect it to the computer via USB and use realone/openMG etc... to download music to your MD. The only way you can record music is via the inputs of your device which are microphone (red), Line in [(white, used to record from the analogue or digital output of your sound card or your DG2 (I think it acts as a soundcard itself.)]
  12. Just make sure to set it on syncro rec!
  13. First, see that your MD recorder is set for synchronized recording. (AKA syncro rec/sync rec) Otherwise, some CD players neglect to notify the MD that there are track marks. My DVD player does that. Try a diffrent player, preferebly a sony or other high brand.
  14. I have an old seald NH-14wm that i got about 2 years ago. Will the battery still be good for normal usage?
  15. There is also this one: http://www.minidisc.com.au/images/gpnimh.jpg But i never saw it anywhere.
  16. Yes, you will be able to use both units, but i dont think at the same time. Thats what it says in NetMD manuals if im not wrong, not sure about HI-MD's.
  17. Did you successfully import the files into sonic stage? Or they were 0.01 even before transferring into the MD?
  18. 1. NetMD is only download, meaning that anything you record to the MD cannot be brought back to the PC. 2. Check in/out is only meant for restoring the number of times you can download a tune to the MD via SS1.5/openMG. It DOES NOT bring back the MUSIC to the computer. 3. The only way is to record it from the headphone output of your player in real-time with your soundtrack. This is an analogue way and sound quality will deteoriate.
  19. You may not be able to check them in, but you can still select delete them from SS 1.5 if im not wrong. You cannot erase tracks that were downloaded from the computer, manually on the unit. It has to be done via a NetMD compatible computer software.
  20. Mine seems to have been manufactured in JAPAN. However its as good as dead right now.
  21. Obviously, for best results, you have to tweak and change default settings. However, you should experiment well and know what you are doing before the concert/show.
  22. This is not a good solution if you are constantly adding new files, since you will have to keep both collections synced in a painful way.
  23. You wont be able to transfer to a CD in a "pure" way. Untill, and if sony releases sonicstage 2.1 with regular cd burning/wav exporting, you will probebly not be able to edit your files, nor play them on another computer. I dont know exactly how the licensing for ATRAC cd's work in SS2.0/2.1. If you looked at the specs of the battery life on the new HI-MD's youll see that it is lousy. So in your case, i would stay away for now from HI-MD untill the models improve and the upload restriction solved.
  24. Some people claim it does, some dont. The main advantages are: 1. Auto track marks via sync recording on some equipment. 2. Some say that you get distortion in analogue when it comes to high volumes.
  25. Adding to tekdroid's post, the write/read speed of a HI-MD is still insanely low, and i doubt sony can do much to boost it.
