Well, TOC Cloning won't be in the manual - it is described here however: http://www.minidisc.org/cloning_procedure.html According to the manual on page 11, it says you cannot adjust the recording level during digital recording. So, that's an error on our part. As for level sync, give that manual another read and make sure it's not in there - I didn't see anything so it very well may not exist for this device.

I don't think a 40ELK is necessary with the RH10 as the display on the RH10 should be more than sufficient. Everything else sounds fine - but please remember that you should test your levels before the show (if that's what your taping) in scenarios that are similiar to the one that you'll be taping; experience and practice will make you much more comfortable. No, you'd have to use a newer unit for that functionality.

I don't think it would've been too difficult or costly to remove uploading capabilities - just a few things in the firmware you'd have to adjust. It's cool that it works though, sounds like a solid device for dedicated computer use - less of the hit on your better unit's recording lens.

I've been looking into getting a wap module for the forum for better functionality - I would suggest you may want to try surfing via the "Lo-fi Version" using the link at the top of the forum - the direct link is http://forums.minidisc.org/lofiversion/ Glad it worked for you! If it's not working for others, please carefully read the instructions - you're not doing something right. This isn't a homebrew hack or anything of that sort - straight from the service manual of the RH10.

Read more about this here:http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=7070 (specifically the NetMD part) Wondering how you can upload via USB? Hi-MD units are capable of such. They would not be able to transfer your existing recordings, though.
