Doesn't use that proprietary battery, superior battery life, an actual choice of colors..only comes with a one line remote though. Seems like they've completely phased out the RM-MC40ELK for second generation.

I'm not really sure - a very poor choice; perhaps a mp3-compliant player only unit will come in the Fall. It sure is light, though, and the battery life is pretty good.

I have found strict confirmation that this unit does NOT support mp3 playback, and I have also edited the first post with battery life info - additionally, it will take a normal gumstick and have a 5mW output, 103g weight with battery, 73 without.

I cannot manage my time effectively. I put too much effort into things that are not important and little into what is. Well, it's more or less a feature that they probably decided wasn't really worth integration this time around. Maybe the NHF800 didn't sell well?

Might be difficult when they've been MIA/out of business for a while. I always buy my Minidiscs online, minidisco, sometimes Audiocubes, and whatever deals I can find through Froogle.

Since we have more Japanese partons here at the forum hopefully we'll get some insight.
