  1. Nice find. As for color availability, you'll most likely need to correspond with them via e-mail or phone. If someone does, please post back with what they're offering.
  2. Good question. There are a few 64-bit applications out there, but not as much as there will be in the next six months. I have no doubts that 64-bit Windows will be out in a month or so from now, as they're already at release canidate 2 stage. The cool thing is that any app, 32/64-bit, can run simultanously. It's obvious that 64-bit applications can now have the freedom to be more memory intensive, even if they are smaller in design. This is not a matter with DDR400/PC3200 DDR with native 2-2-2-5 timings, however, and it's almost impossible for me to bog the system down. Maybe it's the 16mb cache sata drive. As for what apps I have, it's few right now. A few things from sysinternals.com, 64-bit Internet Explorer, some demos and that's really it. I haven't really been shopping around much because I'm pretty sure that it's slim pickin's at the moment, but it won't be very much longer. I've mostly been playing alot of 3D games, as nVidia has really blown the industry away with very stable, beautiful and quick-moving graphics drivers. In fact, I have no conflicts in Device Manager and the only thing that makes me feel that I'm on a beta O/S is the little tag on the lower right of the screen. It'll be interesting to see game preformance at 64-bit in a generation or two..
  3. Objectdock [with sysstat and a few other plugins]..which is alright, probably should've checked out the alternatives but wasn't really concerned, just got inspired by Ishii's presentation and followed suit. I like this dock stuff - to the point where I turned off the taskbar, and I've always liked such since I started playing with the Mac at work long ago, but could never consistantly use the O/S as the aforementioned machine has 256mb's of RAM, which is below the unspoken 512mb requirement that OS X needs.. This 64-bit stuff is nice, real solid even in beta as it's based off Windows Server 2003. I know jadeclaw may pop in at any time and ridcule these words, or simply roll his eyes at them but I've had little problems so far and great preformance, even in demanding 3d applications. I was actually enjoying this 6600GT all weekend, in case anyone was wondering where I went off to. I still need to do some inf file tweaking, and possibly enlist some help from forum users, though..as Windows XP 64-bit requires 64-bit drivers, and there are none for Hi-MD.
  4. Go to start run and put in sfc /scannow
  5. Check out my 64-bit Windows XP RC2/SP1 beta desktop here: http://virtual.dyc.edu/~kurisu/32105+64.png [nearly 2mb *.png]
  6. Happy birthday Ben, hope you have all the best.
  7. No rush, lemme talk to the webmaster a bit and see what the progress is.
  8. Welcome! Have you tried the Sonicstage 2.3 upgrader here: http://forums.minidisc.org/images/SS23ENG.exe ? It may work, but just keep your eyes on the SS3 installer we're working on.
  9. scipio, if you have any further issues, carry them via private messages to Dex or one of the other staff. We will help you personally on this matter as it has become slightly inappropriate to discuss publicly - I'm just not keen on this tone that has risen from this discussion.
  10. I wasn't clear on this or not, jeddeth, but is your unit the MZ-R90? There are a few remotes out there you can purchase and employ for this unit, I believe..
  11. I have the webmaster's wife translating this into something readable - it may get put onto the back burner, though, and perhaps our good friend Ishiiyoshi will help us. Highlights: the DH10P was originally going to come with a 3 megapixel cam, but Sony toned it down due to size limitations.
  12. You can try reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ, or turning off the firewall. Something is definitely blocking CDDB from accessing the net.
  13. Welcome to the forums. I've moved your post to our Software Support/FAQ's forum, and I recommend you read the pinned topics of the top of such: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showforum=62 Sonicstage 3 is the best version to employ, and a link for Simple Burner is within a pinned topic of the aforementioned forum.
  14. Welcome to the forums, wallabyj! If you have any specific questions, just post in the relevant forum and we'll try and help you. Good luck on your endeavors and I hope you enjoy the format! What unit(s) are you interested in?
  15. I said they are out in Japan, dork.
  16. Oh, yeah I guess..I thought you were gonna do some Malaysia bashing, which would require my basho stick..*kneads it, and then puts it back in holster*
  17. I found that video just for you, Stamp. I've been trying to get more information for you..
  18. c|net video (Flash) coverage of the Sony MZ-RH910 and MZ-DH10P portable MD units - they're touting the native MP3 capabilities and it is nice to see the units in action. MZ-RH910 video: http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_MZ_RH910_Hi_M...09.html?tag=tab MZ-DH10P video: http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_MZ_DH10P_Hi_M...11.html?tag=tab [macromedia flash required for both videos]
  19. Welcome to the forums.. You must remember that the RH10 would be visible even in the dark, which could be invaluable in certain applications.
  20. Oh yeah..they've been out since the 10th over there.
  21. Welcome, furbystud. There's many reasons why this may occur, perhaps the lens is dirty. Does this occur with all discs?
  22. Welcome, Mojo263. Have you tried reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ?
  23. Yeah, it looks like a facade. That would be a neat feature, though..
  24. So, what color are you interested in? What headphones, etc?
  25. I was never really impressed with the Sidekick II, even after playing with one extensively. Plus, data plans in the United States are atrocious compared to 3G/etc in Asia. We're so far behind that it's almost moot to have a data phone here.
