  1. That's a great price! I think I'm going to buy about ten of these..Yes. Muhaha
  2. Works very well on my custom built Athlon 64.
  3. What operating system do you have? fill out this: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8027 and paste it here..
  4. Go here for it: Sony MCMD-R1 Memory Card Reader
  5. Welcome, Craig. Audiocubes would be your best bet. What's your maximum budget?
  6. Hi and welcome to the forums Eppie. I've never heard of this naming variation on the NH700. Is this listed on a website or something of that matter? Provide all the info you can.
  7. I need to buy a 2.5mm > 3.5mm converter for further analysis, but through the speaker on the phone it's very clear and details are impossible to avoid. *.wma's and *.wav's seem much better for playback, however. Windows smartphone comes with Media Player natively and there are other music playing/manipulation programs that I'm looking into. I will post more about this as I delve deeper, but this is a clear indication that phones with memory stick slots could be the next big thing in the portable music playing sense, espesically as high density flash media prices fall each month.
  8. Reinstall via the directions found in the FAQ at the top of this forum.
  9. hahahaha..so, it actually works? Does it go all the way up to 11? [you may not get that joke )] Can you take more pics as to the internal connections for it?
  10. That's a nice price and a nice tip, Tony. Welcome to the forums..
  11. For future reference: It's been moved to the Essential Hi-MD info/FAQ's forum.
  12. What's the most you would pay?
  13. You can view the contents of a disc, but the files are chock full of encryption and DRM and you won't get very far - but viewing the contents doesn't require any sort of format. OS X should have no problems transferring files to the discs just in the data sense. You can only manipulate the [music] contents in Sonicstage/Simple Burner.
  14. Doh! The thing that is a shame about the NH900JE is that it doesn't come with any disc! Con artists.. I don't see a language choice either now that I dig through the menus. By the by, can you answer my inital question?
  15. It would be more beneficial to your ears if you went with 256kbps ATRAC3plus, but try 132kbps ATRAC3 just for kicks. None of us can really tell you what would be best, it's more of a subjective matter in my opinion..how about running some tests and tell us what you think?
  16. Please read the faq's found at the top of this forum.
  17. Welcome, fredpb. What version of Simple Burner are you using?
  18. This is definitely hogwash and requires no further discussion.
  19. Welcome.. try reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ found at the top of this forum.
  20. Powerful, and definitely pinned to the top of the forum. Please use these backgrounds instead: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=7173 What about adding marcnet's utility as an option to install? I also think that if the user has XP, it should check for Service Pack 2. If there is no SP2, then no install. I know this is harsh, but to be honest it's necessary. It will eliminate the need to check versions of MDAC, JET, etc.
  21. Just didn't do anything for me, and as I live out in the boonies the call reception was not that great. I can't speak for all areas, but I do know that reception with this phone isn't always the best, but it really depends on where you live. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice phone and has a ton of functionality. It was probably one of the most popular cell phones for about two years but things have evolved since then. I evolved too, I suppose. I'm definitely content with my second MPX220, has the 1.3 firmware natively and this model actually seems to have better build quality. MiniSD on this thing rocks, it's really nice to have the option to take extremely long videos without concern for anything but battery and having the option to snap more than 500+ pics, use it as a mp3/wma/etc player, chock it full of cool applications, and so much more. I am extremely impressed with Microsoft's smartphone. They've really come a long way..
  22. From: http://www.twice.com/article/CA501770.html Sony Shifts Product Development Efforts Now this is what I'm talking about. First Sony hands development of Sonicstage over to another firm in San Diego, and now Minidisc will get more attention within it's own house. Very interesting times for the format, hopefully with prosperity ahead.
  23. I would like to welcome dex Otaku to the moderating team. A very well deserved title, if I must say. This will probably be the last change to the moderating team for the rest of the year, possibly.
  24. Nice first post, himdman! Interesting development, can we get some more verification?
