SS 2.0 to 2.3 should work fine, no need for 2.0 - 2.1 - 2.3.

I would suggest using Marcnet's tool instead, to be honest. Why use Sony's?

Are there any health risks associated with such? btw, MPX220 with 512mb miniSD card = ..but unfortunately, I have to return the phone as it's employing oooooooold firmware [.325 whilst 1.3 is the current] with a big bug related to the mic and volume; it's like talking through a pillow. Collectively, I've spent about 7 hours on the phone with Cingular [mostly on hold] trying to get this issue squared away. They should be sending me a new phone asap, but still, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences in my life.
